FAQ
Q1: Is unsubscribing reserved instances supported?
A1: When you purchase a reserved instance, the corresponding resources will be exclusively allocated to you. However, refunds or instance cancellations are not supported.
Q2: If I already have 10 bcc.gn5.c56m480.4A100-80g postpaid BCC instances under an AZ, and I purchased 15 *bcc.gn5.c56m480.4A100-80g reserved instances, can I still purchase 15 additional bcc.gn5.c56m480.4A100-80g instances?
A2: Once a customer purchases an AZ-level reserved instance, Baidu AI Cloud ensures that a minimum number of postpaid BCC resources, matching the reserved instance's specifications and count, is available in the corresponding AZ under the customer's account. Therefore, you are eligible to purchase up to 5 additional bcc.gn5.c56m480.4A100-80g instances (15 - 10).
Q3: What is the relationship between reserved instances and BCC instances?
A3: Reserved instances and BCC instances operate independently. While the coupon applies a discount to the postpaid BCC billing, users are not charged for the previously deducted BCC instances.
Q4: Will an expired reserved instance affect the BCC instance?
A4: The reserved instance only reduces costs for postpaid instances of the same specification. It does not interfere with the lifecycle of BCC instance resources. You can still use your BCC instance as normal, although previously discounted BCC instances will now incur charges at the standard postpay rate.
Q5: Do I still need to pay for BCC instances after I have purchased an instance?
A5: Reserved instances deduct billing for postpaid BCC instances with matching specifications and count, eliminating fees for such instances during the validity period. However, these deductions apply only to BCC instances and do not extend to other resources such as CDS system disks, data disks, EIPs, etc., associated with the BCC instance.
