Windows Server Cannot Ping

Faults

Windows cloud server cannot be pinged

Fault causes

Since Windows Server blocks ICMP ping requests by default, enable the "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)" rule in the inbound settings of the advanced security firewall.

Fault handling

You can activate the ingress rules of the advanced security firewall for the Windows instance by following the steps outlined below.
