Overview

Instances support the function of modifying the hostname. Before performing operation, please refer to the following limitations:

  1. Changing the hostname via the console is not supported for CentOS-6, Ubuntu-14, Debian-7, and openSUSE-42.3.
  2. For Ubuntu-16, Debian-8, and Debian-9, if the hostname is modified within the virtual machine, any modifications made through the console will not take effect.
  3. CentOS-7, CentOS-8, Ubuntu-18, and Debian-10 allow hostname modifications via the console and support further modifications via the console even after changes are made within the virtual machine.
