Refund policy

Baidu AI Cloud supports self-service unsubscription of prepaid BCC instances. Upon termination, resources are released per unsubscription policies, and corresponding funds are refunded to your account.

Baidu AI Cloud does not support unsubscribing from BCC Reserved Instances.

Below are the details for unsubscribing from Baidu AI Cloud subscribed (prepaid) BCC instances:

Things to Know Before Refunding

• After unsubscribing from prepaid instances, instance and system disk resources are immediately released and cannot be recovered. CDS data disks and EIPs attached to the instance will be automatically unbound, but billing will continue.
• Resources with pending orders (e.g., renew/resize/shift charge) cannot be unsubscribed;
• Coupons used for prepaid instance will not be refunded upon unsubscription;
• Baidu AI Cloud reserves the right to reject refund requests for suspicious or malicious returns, retaining the right of final legal interpretation.

Seven-Day No-Question-Asked Full Refund

BCC supports a seven-day no-question-asked full refund. If the subscription is newly purchased within the last seven days and the purchase month is the current month, you can apply for a no-reason full refund.

Refund Restrictions

• Each user can only request a seven-day no-question-asked full refund for one instance per product.

  Multiple accounts registered/used with the same mobile number, and/or the same certification ID, and/or the same account ID, and/or the same payment source, and/or with identical usage content, and/or from the same login IP, and/or otherwise identified by Baidu AI Cloud as being controlled by the same actual user are considered as one user.

• The purchase must be made within the last seven days and in the current month. Cross-month refunds are not supported. For example, if you haven’t used a full refund before, purchasing a BCC instance on July 1 allows a full refund on July 5. However, if the instance was purchased on June 29, a refund request on July 5 would not qualify for a full refund.
• EBC instances, EHC instances, and GPU instances do not support the seven-day no-question-asked full refund.
• When a BCC instance is submitted for a full refund along with attached CDS and EIP, if the CDS or EIP has already used the one-instance full refund quota but the BCC has not, only the BCC instance portion will be fully refunded. The CDS and EIP will be refunded according to non-full refund rules.

Non-Full Refund

For subscribed (prepaid) BCC instances that do not meet the seven-day no-question-asked criteria, you can self-apply for a non-full refund.

Refund Restrictions

• Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) refund credit quota has a monthly limit, presented as points. Monthly points are calculated based on your previous month's consumption. The exact points are subject to the display on Unsubscription page. Refund credit quota cannot be processed after exceeding the monthly credit quota. The credit quota resets automatically on the 1st of the next month. Baidu AI Cloud allocates 1,500 points as the initial refund credit quota for each account. This credit quota remains valid indefinitely and is not reset monthly. If you find that a refund cannot be processed as there’s no more credit quota, you can Submit a Ticket or contact your sales manager to apply.
• Fees incurred during the refund process will not be reimbursed, including charges incurred between submitting the unsubscribe request and successful unsubscription. Bills generated for on-demand usage of refunded products are also non-refundable.

Reserved Instance Unsubscription Restrictions

Reserved Instance is a commitment-based product. You commit to consuming resources for the lock-in period or usage amount agreed upon in the contract. Mid-term unsubscription (including early termination/suspension/cessation of the agreement, etc., the same below) is not supported. Under this premise, Baidu AI Cloud pre-procures all resources for the lock-in period, performs special configurations, and offers you special discounts at the time of purchase. If you unsubscribe mid-term, it will result in the waste of all locked-in resources, and the precondition for the discount provided by Baidu AI Cloud no longer exists. You shall pay the full product amount for the lock-in period at the pre-discount unit price (referred to as the "Payable Unsubscription Fee").

You acknowledge and confirm: Baidu AI Cloud has undertaken various preparatory efforts to fulfill the commitment-based lock-in products under this agreement, including but not limited to pre-procuring hardware such as servers, pre-allocating bandwidth and fiber, configuring special software, coordinating data centers, and arranging dedicated support personnel. These efforts involve significant upfront human and material costs. Due to the scarcity of computing resources, mid-term unsubscription may cause Baidu AI Cloud to lose other potential customers who had cooperative demands for the procured products and time slots. If you unsubscribe mid-term, the subsequent resources may not be reassigned to other customers and will be entirely idle and wasted. Therefore, you commit to consuming resources according to the lock-in period stipulated in the agreement. If you unsubscribe mid-term, you shall pay Baidu AI Cloud the Payable Unsubscription Fee. You agree that if you unsubscribe mid-term, the losses incurred by Baidu AI Cloud—including preparatory costs, hardware depreciation, and lost potential profits from other customers—are substantially equivalent to the agreed "Payable Unsubscription Fee." Such terms are fair and reasonable.

Operation steps

1. Sign in to the management console, click "Finance" in the upper-right corner, and select Unsubscribe Management.
2. On the Unsubscription Management page, select the unsubscription type. Instances meeting the criteria will be displayed. Select the instance to unsubscribe and click the corresponding Unsubscribe button.

3. Fill in the unsubscribe reason, check Agree, review the refund rules, and click Confirm to Unsubscribe.
4. After reconfirming, click the Confirm button to complete the unsubscribe process.
5. View refund progress in the Refund Records column.
