Release a CDS disk (new)

This API is used to release unmounted CDS data disks. System disks, however, cannot be released.

  • After a disk is released, it cannot be recovered. By default, all disk snapshots will be kept, but their association with the disk will be removed.
  • This operation can only be executed when the disk status is "Available," "Expired," or "Error." Otherwise, a 409 error will be returned.
  • If no disk corresponding to the provided volumeId exists, a 404 error will be returned.
  • When you use this API, snapshots are not deleted by default, and the disk will not enter the recycle bin. To delete associated snapshots or place the disk in the recycle bin, please use the updated API.
