The cloud assistant service has recently enhanced its security features, requiring manual activation for continued use. It supports master IAM User authentication, and IAM Users must have the necessary permissions for both the cloud assistant and Baidu Cloud Compute in order to execute commands successfully. This update does not affect your existing custom cloud assistant commands or execution data. Ensure strict control over IAM User permissions after enabling the cloud assistant to secure Baidu Cloud Compute against potential risks from overly permissive settings.

Cloud assistant enables command execution and file upload/download capabilities without login. Activating and using cloud assistant signifies your acceptance of the following service behaviors:

  1. Password-free command execution: For improved operational efficiency, you can use the cloud assistant to execute commands without inputting a username or password. Be sure to fill in the actual command content as required and refrain from running commands from unknown sources.
  2. Upload or download files from designated paths to the operating system: Files can be selected locally or transferred from Baidu AI Cloud Object Storage (BOS) or other supported channels to the operating systems of Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) instances and Elastic Baremetal Compute (BBC).
