How to attach and use the CDS on BCC?
You need to attach the CDS first and then format the disk in the instance OS to use CDS on BCC. For specific operations, please refer to [Mount CDS Disk](CDS/Disk Operation Guide/Basic Operations/mount Cloud Disk Server.md) and [Format Disk](CDS/Disk Operation Guide/Basic Operations/Format cloud disks/Overview.md).
Can multiple CDSs be attached on BCC?
Yes, you can attach up to 5 CDS Baidu AI Cloud disks to one BCC. If you require more, please submit a ticket to contact us.
Can multiple CDSs be attached on CDS?
No, a single CDS can only be attached to one BCC.
When creating a Windows BCC, the Cloud Disk Server (CDS) was selected, but why can't this CDS disk be seen after signing in to BCC?
The CDS disk in a Windows server is offline by default and must be manually connected before use. Please go to Server Manager -> File and Storage Service -> Volume -> Disk to connect the offline disk.
How to synchronize data between different hard disks?
Under the same account:
- To synchronize CDS system disk data for servers in the same region (e.g., Beijing and Guangzhou), you can create a custom image and use that image when installing the system on the new server.
- To synchronize CDS data disks, disks within the same region and availability zone (e.g., Beijing Availability Zone A) can be directly attached to the new server. If the disks are in the same region but different availability zones, new disks can be created in the other availability zones using snapshots of the old CDS, and these can then be attached to the new server.
- Local disk data synchronization between instances is not supported. Data must be migrated manually via offline data copying.
Under different accounts:
Quick migration of BCC system disk data and environment deployment between different accounts in the same region can be achieved through shared images.
Other types of migrations, such as CDS data migration across accounts or regions (e.g., Beijing to Guangzhou), temporary data disk migration, and system disk migration across regions, can only be performed manually through offline data copying at this time.
Can BCC Instances Mount Baidu AI Cloud Object Storage (BOS)?
BOS can be attached to a Linux system BCC server using BOSFS (attaching is not currently supported on Windows systems).
BOSFS is used to mount remote BOS services to the local file system, achieving functionality similar to that of a network file system. Its purpose is to facilitate users in accessing files on BOS using system commands or standard POSIX API, just as conveniently as using a local disk. Refer to the BOSFS Help Document
for details If you encounter any issues during the configuration process, it is recommended that you submit a storage and CDN/Baidu AI Cloud Object Storage (BOS) ticket, describe the specific problem you encountered in detail, and provide screenshots of specific errors. Our engineers will assist you in troubleshooting.
After attaching a newly purchased disk on BCC in the console, it is not visible in the virtual machine
After a newly purchased BCC disk is attached on the console, it is not visible within the virtual machine because the newly purchased and attached CDS disk requires formatting before it can be connected or attached in Windows or Linux. For details, refer to Format Disk.
Warning!! Formatting will result in the permanent loss of all data. Please ensure that any important data on the CDS is backed up beforehand.
