Pre-authorization Rule Settings
Updated at:2025-10-20
The repair platform offers instance repair pre-certification. You can configure pre-certification rules for instances based on instance tags, which apply to all instances associated with the tag. When a repair task is created, the active pre-certification policies will be applied, initiating repair automatically without further certification.

Create a pre-authorization rule
Go to the "Set Pre-certification" page in the maintenance platform, click [Create Pre-certification Rule] to access the Rule Configuration page.
- Certification rules need to be linked with tag keys; only instances within the associated tag scope will trigger pre-certification.
- You can set up multiple repair pre-certification rules based on instance tags.
- Selecting [Enable by Default after Creation] while adding a rule will make it effective immediately. If you leave it unchecked during creation, you can activate the rule later by selecting the [Enable] action.
- The certification upper limit can be set based on service capacity. If a certification upper limit is specified in the rule (left blank by default indicating no upper limit)
- If counts of faulty instances within associated tag scope don't exceed the certification upper limits, repair certification is auto-triggered
- If the number of faulty instances within the associated tag scope exceeds the certified upper limit, instances beyond the limit will not trigger automatic repair certification. A notification will be issued, prompting users to perform manual certification via the console, with the subsequent process following standard uncertified repair workflows.

Enabling and stopping pre-certification rules
- Pre-certification rules take effect when enabled but remain inactive when stopped. For repair tasks, user certification is still needed to proceed with subsequent repairs.

Deleting pre-certification rules
Pre-certification rules in a stopped state can be deleted. Once deleted, faults in instances under the related tags will require individual certification.
