          Roll Back a Snapshot

          Background Information

“Roll Back a Snapshot” is used to restore the disk status to the system status when the snapshot was being created. For example, you created snapshot A on disk A at 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015. If you select to roll back snapshot A at 17:00 pm on May 21, 2015, the system information of disk A is restored to the status at 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015. At the same time, the data saved between 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015 and 17:00 pm on May 21, 2015 is lost.

For the snapshots created on the CDS disk, please uninstall them from the installed BCC instance on the CDS disk.

          Notice:

          • For the BCC instance in the Windows operating system, you need to delete this disk from the Windows Disk Management first, and then uninstall the CDS disk from the console. Otherwise, the console may deliver an error message.
          • For the BCC instance in the Linux operating system, to ensure secure unmounting, you are recommended to perform the unmounting operation (umount command) in the instance operating system before performing the unmounting operation in the console.
          • For more information on detailed operations, please see Uninstall the CDS Disk.

Use the Snapshot Rollback carefully. Back up relevant storage data before use to avoid the impact on system.
