Cloud Container Engine (CCE) launched the image registry service (access domain: hub.baidubce.com) in 2017 to meet the early customer demand. With the rapid development of business and the continuous improvement of user demand, the service can no longer meet higher performance and function requirements. Therefore, it is transitioned to a read-only service from 2021, and will be phased out in an orderly manner by 2024.

Baidu AI Cloud has introduced a more powerful, stable, secure and easier container image managed service - Cloud Container Registry (CCR) (enterprise edition), which fully supports all original functionalities. Given the maturity and stability of the new service, the backend service of the early CCE image registry (hub.baidubce.com) will be gradually phased out as planned, with Cloud Container Registry (CCR) (enterprise edition) taking over completely to ensure service continuity and smooth user experience upgrade. The specific decommissioning and migration details are announced as follows:

I. Decommissioning plan

  1. From the announcement date to November 29, 2025: The image registry will remain operational for pushing and pulling images. Please complete the migration as soon as possible.
  2. November 30, 2025: The CCE image registry (hub.baidubce.com) will block all image pulling requests.
  3. December 15, 2025: The CCE image registry (hub.baidubce.com) will disable domain resolution, and the service will be fully decommissioned.
Note: Please complete business migration and transition as early as possible. The CCE image registry (hub.baidubce.com) service will be fully decommissioned on December 15, 2025.

II. Migration recommendations

It is recommended to migrate existing images from the CCE image registry to Cloud Container Registry (CCR) (enterprise edition). You may refer to Migrate Existing Images from CCE Image Registry to CCR Enterprise Edition.
