How to perform regular comprehensive checks on the status of BOS resources?

You can activate the "Cloud Advisor" service to regularly receive inspection reports on the security, availability, performance and cost of cloud resources. The report contains several BOS-related inspection items, such as: BOS-bucket enabling recycle bin, BOS-bucket log records, BOS-bucket permission, and BOS-server-side encryption, etc. Please visit Cloud Advisor Homepage to learn about or activate the Cloud Advisor service.

How secure is user data?

Data stored in BOS is extremely secure. BOS employs various access control mechanisms, such as Signature Verification and the Access Control List (ACL), to ensure data security.

Will data be lost or corrupted on BOS?

BOS offers multi-layered backup and automated data repair capabilities, delivering 99.99999999% data durability and 99.9% service availability.

Does the attack of DDoS affect BOS?

DDoS flow attacks typically target a fixed IP. The API provided by BOS service uses the Baidu AI Cloud domain name, which conceals the real IP, making it generally resistant to DoS attacks.

Is the file upload/download on BOS based on HTTP?

File upload and download on BOS support two modes: HTTP and HTTPS.

What if the files uploaded to BOS have a virus?

BOS has no restrictions on uploaded files. However, BOS conducts spot checks after the files are uploaded, and blocks the customer's bucket if the files in the bucket are found to have viruses. In addition, BOS also provides intelligent photo review service and intelligent content audit program based in-depth learning to accurately identify pornography, violence, terrorism, political sensitivity, WeChat business advertising, nausea and other contents in pictures and videos. Can video links stored in BOS be used by other websites? How to protect them?

You can enhance resource protection by configuring bucket permissions and defining a refer allow list. For details, please refer to: Bucket Permissions, Referer Allow List.

How to set up traffic alerts for BOS traffic?

BOS itself doesn't support monitoring alerts, but you can monitor metrics such as the capacity, traffic and requests through Baidu Cloud Monitor and set alert rules. Please sign in to Console to configure alert rules.
