Request fees
Updated at:2025-11-03
Request fees are basic charges for BOS. When you access files stored in BOS, fees will be charged based on different operational scenarios, including read request fees, write request fees, and data restoration fees.
| Category | Sub-charge item | Charge type | Payment type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Request fees | Read request fees | All your operations on BOS are essentially calls to BOS APIs. When you read data in BOS, you will call BOS read-related APIs such as GET, which will incur read request fees. Operations on the BOS console are also implemented through BOS API calls, so using the BOS console will also generate the read request count. The system settles read request fees per hour. APIs that generate read request fees include but are not limited to GetBucketLocation, HeadBucket, GetObject, GetObjectMeta, ListParts, GetSymlink, SelectObject and GetObjectAcl. | Pay-as-you-go |
| Write request fees | All your operations on BOS are essentially calls to BOS APIs. When you write data to BOS, you will call BOS write-related APIs such as PUT, which will incur write request fees. Operations on the BOS console are also implemented through BOS API calls, so using the BOS console will also generate the write request count. The system settles write request fees per hour. APIs that generate write request fees include but are not limited to PutObject, PostObject, InitiateMultipartUpload, UploadPart, CompleteMultipartUpload, AbortMultipartUpload, AppendObject, DeleteObject, DeleteMultipleObjects, FetchObject and Putsymlik. | Pay-as-you-go | |
| Archive storage restoration request fees | When you restore the archive storage class files through API/SDK/BOS official tools/console, BOS will call the RestoreObject API, which will incur archive storage restoration request fees. There are 3 restoration modes for archive storage restoration: expedited restoration, standard restoration and deferred restoration, and the request fees corresponding to each restoration mode are different. No restoration request fees are incurred for the restoration of infrequent access storage, infrequent access storage - multi-AZ and cold storage. The system settles archive storage restoration request fees per hour. | Pay-as-you-go | |
| Data restoration fees | Infrequent access storage - multi-AZ restoration fees | When the files you store in BOS are set to the infrequent access storage - multi-AZ class, and you need to perform read operations on such files, you must first restore the files, and this restoration will incur data restoration fees. When you read or download the infrequent access storage - multi-AZ class files, the restoration is automatically triggered, and the system will automatically generate restoration fees and issue hourly bills. | Pay-as-you-go |
| Infrequent access storage restoration fees | When the files you store in BOS are set to the infrequent access storage class, and you need to perform read operations on such files, you must first restore the files, and this restoration will incur data restoration fees. When you read or download the infrequent access storage class files, the restoration is automatically triggered, and the system will automatically generate restoration fees and issue hourly bills. | Pay-as-you-go | |
| Cold storage restoration fees | When the files you store in BOS are set to the cold storage class, and you need to perform read operations on such files, you must first restore the files, and this restoration will incur data restoration fees. When you read or download the cold storage class files, the restoration is automatically triggered, and the system will automatically generate restoration fees and issue hourly bills. | Pay-as-you-go | |
| Archive storage restoration fees | When the files you store in BOS are set to the archive storage class, and you need to perform read operations on such files, you must first restore the files, and this restoration will incur data restoration fees. The restoration of archive storage class files needs to be manually triggered by you through API/SDK/BOS official tools/console, and you can access or download the files only after the restoration is successful. There are three restoration modes for archive storage: expedited restoration, standard restoration and deferred restoration, with different fees for each mode. BOS generates bills per hour, and you can view the fees for each restoration mode in the bills. | Pay-as-you-go | |
| Archive storage restoration cache fees | When the files you store in BOS are set to the archive storage class, and you need to perform read operations on such files, you must first restore the files. When triggering the restoration, you need to set the cache duration for the restored replica of the file, and the replica file will incur corresponding cache fees. For example, if you set the replica to be cached for 10 days, a one-time cache fee for 10 days will be charged for the file. BOS generates bills per hour, and you can view the fees for each restoration mode in the bills. | Pay-as-you-go |
