Copy and move files
Overview
You can replicate or move uploaded files. Replication duplicates files to other buckets while keeping the original files, whereas moving transfers files to other buckets and deletes them from the source bucket.
Note
- Files support cross-region replication and moving.
- Archive storage-class files that have not been restored cannot be replicated or moved. Files must be restored before performing these actions.
Replicate files
- Sign in to the BOS Management Console and navigate to the Global Overview page.
- In the left navigation bar of the BOS console, select the bucket where the target file is located, then click to open the bucket’s file list page.
- Click the More -> Replicate File button in the operation bar to the right of the target file.
- In the pop-up window, select the Target Folder to be replicated, and choose the Storage Class for the replicated file in the target folder. After file replication, the original file in the source bucket will still be retained.
Note: You can change storage classes by replicating a file to itself with the desired storage class.
Move files
- Sign in to the BOS Management Console and navigate to the Global Overview page.
- In the left navigation bar of the BOS console, select the bucket where the target file is located, then click to open the bucket’s file list page.
- Click the More->Move to button in the operation bar to the right of the target file.
- In the pop-up window, select the Target Folder to be moved, and choose the Storage Class for the file in the target folder. After file moving, the original file in the source bucket will be deleted.

If Baidu AI Cloud is required to modify or discontinue this feature due to changes in law, policy, or regulations, you understand and accept that this will not constitute a breach of contract. Baidu AI Cloud will provide transitional assistance for any service adjustments or termination.
