Pay-As-You-Go Charge Type
Overview
If you have not purchased a prepaid resource package for BOS, BOS will adopt a postpaid bill type by default to calculate fees for your usage of each charge item in real-time. BOS offers [Prepaid Resource Packages](BOS/Product pricing/Product price/Resource Package Charge Type/Resource Package Overview.md) for some charge items. If you purchase a prepaid resource package, the corresponding service fees will be deducted from the prepaid resource package. If you do not perform any operations after activating the BOS service, no fees will be incurred for BOS. Charge type
- Charge formula: Total BOS fees = unit-price of storage fees × usage duration + unit-price of request fees × usage specification + unit-price of traffic fees × usage specification + unit-price of data processing fees × usage specification.

Metering cycle: BOS adopts a minute-level traffic settlement type for pay-as-you-go charge. For example, "standard storage capacity fee = unit-price of standard storage capacity per minute ✖ standard storage capacity per minute". If your usage is less than 1 min, it will be charged as 1 min. The monthly capacity unit-price listed on the official website is only a reference price for 30 days, not the final unit-price for a calendar month. In months with 31 days, 28 days or 29 days, the monthly unit-price will vary.
Example
- For example, if the official website lists the monthly unit price for standard storage as RMB 0.119/GB/month, the daily unit price will be 0.119/30 = RMB 0.00396667/GB/day, the hourly unit price will be 0.119/30/24 = RMB 0.000165278/GB/hour, and the per-minute unit price will be 0.119/30/60 = RMB 0.0000027546/GB/minute. If your capacity peak in a specific minute is 10,987,654,321 bytes (approximately 10.23 GB), the minute-level bill for that capacity would be 10,987,654,321/1024/1024/1024 ✖ 0.0000027546 = RMB 0.00002818796. For a 30-day month, the monthly bill would be 0.00002818796 ✖ 60 ✖ 24 ✖ 30 = RMB 1.22; for a 31-day month, it would be 0.00002818796 ✖ 60 ✖ 24 ✖ 31 = RMB 1.26; and for a 28-day month, the total would be 0.00002818796 ✖ 60 ✖ 24 ✖ 28 = RMB 1.10. Therefore, BOS employs a precise, minute-level billing system, and the capacity price listed on the official website serves only as a reference based on a 30-day month.
- Bill cycle: BOS issues and deducts your usage fees on an hourly basis, that is, it sums up the minute-level bills within the past 60 min to issue an hourly bill. Bills are issued around 1 h after the end of the current charge cycle. For example, the bill for 10:00 - 11:00 will be generated around 12:00, with the specific time subject to the system’s charge schedule.
- Service suspension: In the pay-as-you-go charge mode, you need to ensure that your account has no debts; otherwise, the system will perform BOS Service Suspension;
