          Object Storage

          Performance Problems

How many data can a user store on BOS?

The total amount of data and the number of objects stored by the user on BOS are not subject to limitation, and the object with the maximum size of a single file of 5TB can be uploaded.

What class of data can a user store?

The user can store any format and any type of data on BOS.

How long are BOS logs generated?

In most cases, it takes some time ranging from 2 to 3 hours for an access request to be completed from the occurrence of such access request to the storage of corresponding log to the target bucket. However, due to the influence of the network environment and other factors, some logs may be delayed.

Is there a speed limit for BOS to upload and download?

The bandwidth threshold set by BOS for a single bucket is 10Gbit/s, with no limit on concurrency, and the limit is not for the number of people, but only for the bandwidth threshold. When the upload or download made by the use exceed the threshold value of the bandwidth, the system gives an error alarm indicating RequestRateLimitExceeded, and such restriction is valid for all Regions of BOS at present. If your upload is slow, it is generally caused due to your local upload bandwidth, you are recommended to check the local upload bandwidth. Please refer to Use Restriction for specific restriction.

If you have special business needs, and hope to up-regulate the threshold value of the bandwidth within a short period of time, you are recommended to submit Ticket for processing.

What is the collection interval of monitoring data provided by bucket, such as write amount, read amount and so on?

The collection interval of monitoring data provided by bucket, such as write amount, read amount and so on, is 5 minutes.
