Precondition

1. You must complete the Identity Verification before you create the BCC instance. Implement the "Enterprise Authentication" or the "Personal Authentication". See the Personal Authentication and Enterprise Authentication for details. If you do not complete the Identity Verification when you create the BCC instance, you can click the Authentication Prompt button on the page to enter the “Identity Verification" page to complete relevant operations.
2. To create an on-demand billing BCC instance, your account balance must be greater than or equal to 100 CNY. For the specific billing and deduction modes, see Pricing of On-demand Billing Products.

Operating Process

Operation Steps

1. log in to the Baidu AI Cloud Official Website.

2. Log in to the Baidu AI Cloud platform:

   • If the user name does not exist, register a user name firstly. See Registration for the operation.
   • If the user name exists, see Login for the login operation.
3. After successful login, select "Product Service" -> "BCC" to enter the "Instance List" page.
4. (Optional) the names and IDs of all BCC instances created are displayed on the "Instance List" page (optional). When you need to use the instance ID to search, submit ticket and check bill or API application, you can click the "Copy" button following the ID name to copy directly.

5. (Optional) to facilitate customerd to batch manage the BCC instance uniformly, for example, assign different business groups, and filter the instances with high configuration or instances to expire, it supports to download the resources list on the "Instance List" page. The downloaded resource file is in CSV format, the encoding format is UTF-8, and the file naming convention is "Product Name_Region_Date_list.CSV". The downloaded instance is consistent with the filter criteria of current instance list, and the content contains all fields of BCC instance.

   

6. (Optional) Select the region. Switch between regions according to the actual requirements.

   • At present, Baidu AI Cloud provides the multi-region support. If you want to create the BCC instances in multiple regions, see Instruction for Region Selection.
   • The instances created in different regions are mutually independent.
7. Click "Create Instance" to enter the "Create Instance" interface.
8. Select "Prepaid" or "Postpaid" in the upper left corner as required to enter the "Purchase Option" page, and then fill in relevant configuration information.

Note:

You can decide whether CDS disk is created according to the actual requirements. For the specific operation of CDS disk, see Create a CDS Disk.

If you select to create a CDS disk during the creation of instance, this CDS disk automatically mounts to BCC.

Fill in a Configuration Information

Configuration description:

• For the configuration during the creation of instance.
• Image type and operating system: Select the public image, custom image, service integration image and corresponding operating system as required. If you use the BCC service for the first time, you can not select the custom image.
• System disk: Required configuration. At present, the SSD cloud storage and premium cloud storage are supported, the maximum optional memory is 500 GB, including 40 GB free memory, and the excess part needs to be paid separately. For the price, see Pricing of Cloud Storage.
• CDS disk: Optional configuration. The CDS disk is a secure, reliable and scalable storage service to provide the availability and high-capacity support for the BCC data storage. At present, the CDS disk with the capacity 5-32,765 GB is supported, and up to 5 CDS disks can be configured, which should be selected according to the actual requirements. If you create the snapshot, you can select "Create CDS Disk Through Snapshot" as required.

Sett Whether Elastic Resources Are Selected

Configuration description:

• Purchase elastic public IP: You can select whether the elastic public IP is purchased as required.
• Bill-by-bandwidth: It is billed by the fixed bandwidth selected, and up to 200 Mbps bandwidth can be purchased.
• Bill-by-traffic: It is billed by the actual data traffic transmitted, and there is not upper limit for the traffic, but the maximum peak bandwidth can be limited. At present, it is noted that the prepaid instance does not the support public bandwidth degradation during the service life. When the public bandwidth is 0, the public IP is not assigned.

Fill in a System Information

Configuration description:

• Instance name: It can be generated randomly or customized. The custom name must comply with the following rules, that is, it is composed of "English letters, numbers, and special characters, such as -, _, / and ., and starts with a letter with a length of 1-64".
• Admin password: It can be generated randomly or customized. The custom name must comply with the following rules, that is, it is a 8-32-bit string, and must be composed of English letters, numbers and symbols at the same time. For symbols, only !, @, #, $, %, * and () can be used.
• Security group: Default security group or custom security group. You can also change relevant access rules after the creation of instance.

Fill in a Purchase Information

Configuration description:

• Purchase duration: 1-9 months or 1-3 years, optional configuration. The duration cycle is the unit cycle starting from the instance creating time. For example, if you purchase the BCC service for one month on May 20, 2015, the usage cycle is from May 20, 2015 to June 20, 2015 (the default unit monthly duration is 30 days).
• Purchase quantity: 1-50 servers can be purchased at one time, which can be selected according to the actual requirements.

9. You can select corresponding options as required, and then click "Next" to enter the "Confirm Order" page or the "Select Elastic Public IP" page.
10. (Optional) if you select "Purchase Elastic Public IP", you need to configure EIP. See EIP Instance for details.
11. After you confirm the selected BCC package and price, click "Pay" to enter the payment process.

Note: If you possess the Baidu AI Cloud voucher, you can settle with the voucher. If the amount of voucher is insufficient, you can pay with the bank card.

12. Click "Confirm Payment" to complete the payment successfully. After the payment, the system creates BCC in the background.
13. Click the "Admin Console" link to enter the "Instance List" interface and view the instance status created. After the creation, the instance is in the Running status.
14. After the successful creation of instance, the system sends the BCC information to users in the short message, including IP and user name. For the security reasons, the password is not sent in the short message. If you forget the password configured during the creation of instance, you can reset the password.
