Overview
RDS for MySQL (Relational Database Service for MySQL) provides the high-performance and high-reliability relational database service. It supports three series, i.e., stand-alone basic version, dual high-availability version, and Raft financial version. It supports the standard database protocol by default and implements monitoring, automatic failover, data backup and recovery, instance management and other features. Furthermore, it meets the customers' higher requirements for data management and storage through the slow SQL statistics and diagnosis and reliable services, such as cross-domain hot instance groups.
Features
It supports the prepaid and postpaid billing modes. And, it also supports the change in billing mode and configuration, and the flexible adjustment of billing mode and instance configuration.
It supports the disaster recovery of a single availability zone, disaster recovery across availability zones, and remote disaster recovery to solve various fault and traffic scheduling issues.
It supports the automatic backup and uploading of instance data to BOS and provides the data recovery and instance cloning.
It supports the whitelist, data encryption, and DB firewall and provides the all-round database security support.
Advantages

The master/slave architecture, monitoring, diagnosis, and fault self-recovery provide you the overall automatic operations guarantee.

Storage disk: It supports the local SSD, and you can purchase up to 3,000 GB disk space. CPU memory combination: It supports up to 56-core 480 G memory package.

Application Scenarios

-
Diverse AI Scenarios Supports
It supports the computer vision-related image services, natural language processing services, voice services and map location-related service.
-
Slow SQL Statistics and Diagnosis
Through several years’ operations experience for the cloud, it provides the overall slow SQL statistics and diagnosis to accelerate the AI practice.

-
Financial Data Storage and Processing
It is the reliable processing tool for the financial data, which supports the all-round storage of bills, transactions, and Mobile APP data.
-
Multi-level and High-reliability Disaster Recovery Mechanism
It fully supports the instance, availability zone, and region-level disaster recovery. By creating or adding the cross-domain active instance group, it is easy to implement a reliable cross-domain disaster recovery. Thus, it ensures the security of financial data adequately.

-
Easy to Implement Website Data Storage
It is easy to build the website through BCC or BCH. RDS for MySQL allows you to record the website visitors, save the list of registered user accounts, and store the historical data.
-
Read/write separation
The read-only instance is used for the read/write scenarios of the database with a large number of read requests other than write requests. It can elastically expand the reading ability of the standard instance by creating multiple read-only instances for the standard instance. Thus, it is possible to improve the throughput for users, realize the read/write separation and meet the massive access requirements of the website.

-
High-availability and flexible scaling
It provides high availability and flexible scaling based on BCC and MySQL.
-
Second-Level Accurate Data Rollback
By cloning the instances, it can restore and create an instance with consistent data and configuration of the original instance to the previously specified time.
