Overview

RDS for MySQL (Relational Database Service for MySQL) provides the high-performance and high-reliability relational database service. It supports three series, i.e., stand-alone basic version, dual high-availability version, and Raft financial version. It supports the standard database protocol by default and implements monitoring, automatic failover, data backup and recovery, instance management and other features. Furthermore, it meets the customers' higher requirements for data management and storage through the slow SQL statistics and diagnosis and reliable services, such as cross-domain hot instance groups.

Product Architecture

Stand-alone Basic Edition

It is applicable for the test scenarios and the users pursuing the cost performance and accepting the temporary service interruption caused by the troubleshooting. The data is stored in CDS in the form of three-replica to ensure security.

Dual High-availability Edition

It is applicable for the formal business scenarios and has committed service availability not lower than 99.95%. The fault automatic failover ensures service availability. It supports the read-write separation through the read-only and proxy instances.

Raft Financial Edition

It is applicable for various financial industries with high availability and reliability, and security compliance. It takes the Raft protocol-based self-made cluster algorithm to sense the fault spontaneously, and the submitted data is not lost.
