The login protection will give the user addition protection when you log in for operation. The protection measures need to enter the credentials that can prove the identity under the premise of inputting the account and key correctly.

In such case, even if others steal the user password, they cannot log in the user account, which can guarantee the account security to maximum extent. Support SMS Verification and MFA Verification.

SMS Verification

1.Enter the administrative console, and click the account name, and enter the page of User Center.

2.Enter the page of "Security Information" by clicking the "Security Information" under the "User Information".

3.Of the login protection items, click "Setup" to enter the setup interface of login protection, and select "Enable SMS Verification", and then, it is successfully enabled.

4.After it is enabled successfully, when the user logs in again, the user cannot log in successfully until he/she enters the account name and password on the login page of Baidu AI Cloud account, and then confirm his/her identity again by SMS verification for the second time.

MFA

What is MFA?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a simple, effective and best security practice that add an additional layer of security in addition to the username and password.

After enabling MFA, when the user logs in the console of Baidu AI Cloud, the system requires inputting the username and password (the first security element), and then inputting the dynamic verification code from its MFA device (the second security element). This dual-factor security authentication will provide you with higher security protection for your account.

Bind MFA

1.Enter the page of "User Center", and click the "Bind" button after MFA is virtualized in the "Security Information" column.

2.Download the identity authenticator. You must install an MFA application on the smart device before you can proceed, and you are recommended to install Google Authenticator.

Note:

• For - ios version, search "Google Authenticator" in the App Store for installation.
• For Android version, you can search "Authenticator" in the application store that you commonly used for installation. For the Google Authenticator of Android version, It relies on an external QR code to scan components, you also need to search and install "Bar-code Scanner" in the App Store.

3.Bind MFA. Click the icon of Scan on Identity Authenticator APP, and scan the QR code on the computer. After the scan is successful, the system adds users automatically, and App displays the account and key. Enter the page on which the dynamic password of Virtual MFA is displayed. The dynamic password is updated every 30 seconds.

Note: If your account is shared by multiple persons, after you bind MFA successfully, other people who do not bind MFA cannot log in to the account. The solution is to have other people install the MFA application and scan the QR code on such page, or save the image of such QR code for others to scan later.

4.Enter two consecutive sets of command to the page on the computer, and then click the buttonConfirm to Enable. The operation to enable MFA is completed.

Enable MFA

1.Enter the page of "User Center", and click the "Setup" button behind the login protection items in the "Security Information" column.

2.Select "Enable MFA" to enable the authentication successfully.

3.After it is bound successfully, when the user logs in again, the user cannot log in successfully until he/she enters the account name and password on the login page of Baidu AI Cloud account, and then confirm his/her identity again by MFA.

Unbind MFA

Conventional unbinding

As long as the phone is not lost or the APP for authentication is not deleted, the user can complete the operation to unbind the virtual MFA by themselves.

Click the "Unbind" button of the virtualized MFA in the "Security Information" column, and authenticate the 6-digit dynamic password of the virtual MFA device to unbind the virtual MFA device upon successful authentication.

If it is unable to unbind MFA through regular self-help process, you can send email to bce_service@baidu.com to submit an application for unbinding.
