What Is BCC?

Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) is a computing service with auto scaling. The management mode is simpler and more efficient than BBC. You can create or release any number of BCC instances at any time according to your business requirements to improve the operations efficiency. BCC builds a stable and reliable foundation for users to deploy the application rapidly, reduces the difficulty of network scale computing, and enables users to focus on core business innovation. You do not need to spend the time and money to purchase and maintain the hardware of the hosting virtual machine, which reduces the IT cost effectively.

Can BCC Adjust CPU and Memory Dynamically?

At present, the purchased BCC instance supports the auto scaling of CPU and memory.

Does BCC Provide Database by Default?

No database is pre-installed on BCC. You can install the required database. Furthermore, it is recommended that you purchase the RDS service provided by Baidu AI Cloud separately.

Does BCC Support Oracle Database?

BCC does not restrict you from installing the Oracle database. You can view the corresponding Oracle database installation tutorial.

Can BCC Implement Load-Balance?

BCC can be configured with the load balance service according to your requirements. However, it is recommended that you select the independent BLB product provided by Baidu AI Cloud. This BLB product can provide the layer-4/layer-7 BLB service, and the targeted optimization is performed to facilitate your purchase and use directly.

Can BCC Be Purchased in Specified Region?

How to Replace Operating System/Upgrade Configuration?

• If you want to switch to other operating systems, you can reinstall the operating system for the single instance. For the replacement of operating system, see Reinstall Operating System.
• For the configuration upgrading, see Upgrade CPU and Memory.

If Configuration Selected During Creation of BCC Is Wrong, Can Configuration Be Changed After Creation of BCC?

For the purchased BCC instance, you can replace the operating system and select the appropriate system image for the reinstallation. It supports the switching between Windows operating system and the Linux operating system. Furthermore, it supports the configuration upgrading.

What If Console Can Not Find a BCC Instance?

If you fail to see the purchased BCC on the BCC interface, it is recommended that you click the area in the upper left corner of instance page on your console to check whether your BCC is located in other area.

How to View Usage of BCC Resources?

You can log in to the Admin console to view the BCC resource through Product Service/BCC - Instance List/Instance Details/Monitoring, or enter the system to view the BCC resource.

Can BCC Send Short Message or Email Reminder When It Detects Abnormal Operation of CPU and Disk?

If you want to send the short message or email reminder when BCC detects the abnormal operation of CPU or disk, you can add the alarm strategy on the Console - BCM monitoring.
