Share a Custom Image
BCC users can share the custom image with other users flexibly, and the shared users can create the BCC instance and reinstall the operating system through the shared image. The applicable scenarios include, but are not limited to:
- BCC users can distribute the BCC instance images containing specific business content to other users, help them to build the business system, improve the efficiency and accelerate the expansion.
- The IT department of BCC users can create the BCC instance image according to the company requirements, and distribute it to each department through the sharing features to build the business system quickly.
Notice:
For the shared image may involve the data privacy and security, the users need to bear the risk for the image sharing. Before you use the shared image, it is recommended that you log in to the BCC instance to check whether there is a risk of data leakage.
Instruction for Use (IFU)

| Quota | Sharing user: Each user can create up to 20 images at the same time, and each custom image can be shared with up to 50 other users. Shared user: Each shared user can possess up to 20 shared images. The shared image does not occupy the quota for creating its own image. |

| Image deletion | You can not delete a custom image shared with other users. You can delete the custom image only when you cancel all shares. |
| Sharing user | The image can not be shared with other users repeatedly or shared with itself. Users who receive the shared image can use the shared image only, and can not cancel the sharing or delete the image actively. |
| Operations Management | It supports the Admin console operation. |
| Secondary sharing | The secondary sharing and distribution operations are not supported. |
Enable a Sharing
The cross-user sharing process of custom image is as follows:
Operation Steps
- Log in to the Admin console to enter "BCC".
- Click "Image" in the left navigation bar to enter the "Image List" page.
- Select the image to share. The image type must be of custom image.
- Click "Shared Image", and then enter the Baidu account number or user ID of sharing user.
- Click "confirm" to complete the shared image operation successfully.
Cancel a Sharing
Users have the right to cancel the custom image sharing with other users. After the cancellation, the shared user fails to view this image or create an instance based on this image.
Operation Steps
- Log in to the Admin console to enter "BCC".
- Click "Image" in the left navigation bar to enter the "Image List" page.
- Select the image to cancel the sharing. The image type must be of custom image.
- Click "Cancel Sharing" to display the list of sharing users for this image.
- Select the Baidu account number or user ID to cancel the sharing, and then click "Confirm" to complete the cancel sharing operation successfully.
