Overview

If you have not purchased the prepaid resource package of BOS, BOS will use the post-paid method to charge your usage of each billing item in real time by default. BOS provides Prepaid Resource Pack for some billing items. If you have purchased a prepaid resource pack, the corresponding service cost will be deducted from the prepaid resource pack. If you do not operate after you activate the BOS service, BOS will not incur any costs.

Billing Method

• BOS on-demand billing adopts the method of billing per minute. The service less than 1 minute will be billed by 1 minute;
• BOS bills and deducts your usage costs on an hourly basis, that is, it deducts and generates bills on the hour in Beijing time. Billing time is about 1 hour after the end of the current billing cycle. For example, a bill from 10:00 to 11:00 will be generated near 12:00, which is subject to the billing time of the system.
• In the on-demand billing mode, you need to ensure that there is no arrears in your account, otherwise the system will stop BOS service;
• Billing formula: BOS total cost = unit price of storage cost × usage duration + unit price of request cost x usage specification + unit price of traffic cost x usage specification + unit price of data processing cost x usage specification;

Note

• Infrequent storage, cold storage and archive storage have certain limits on reading and usage scenarios. If there is a minimum storage period, data retrieval costs, etc., please check hierarchical storage before purchasing, to know further of different storage types.
• The month in "Yuan/GB/Month" of the billing item refers to 30 days, and if the unit price of standard storage is RMB 0.119/GB/month, the cost to store the data of 1GB standard storage for 30 days is 0.119. The billing of storage space is calculated according to the actual days per month, namely 0.119/30 * actual number of days.
• The minimum storage time of Object of the infrequent storage is 30 days; the storage cost is charged according to 30 days in case of less than 30 days.
• The minimum storage time of Object of the cold storage is 60 days; the storage cost is charged according to 60 days in case of less than 60 days.
• The minimum storage time of Object of the archival storage is 180 days; the storage cost is charged according to 180 days in case of less than 180 days.
• Archive storage is currently launched in Beijing, Guangzhou and Suzhou;

BOS Request costs include read and write request costs and data retrieval costs.

• Only the infrequent storage, cold storage and archival storage are charged for data retrieval; the standard storage is not charged. The fee is charged on both intranet and outer net.
• If your data are accessed less than 1 time per month, you are recommend to use infrequent storage; if your data are accessed less than 1 time per year, you are recommended to use cold storage; in case of less than 1 time every three years, the archival storage is recommended.
• Archive storage is currently launched in Beijing, Guangzhou and Suzhou. The relevant prices of archive storage in the table are only valid for the above regions.

Data processing costs

BOS data processing costs include Select Scan costs and Image Processing costs.

Select scan cost

BOS Select feature Support retrieval and scanning of the content in CSV/JSON files in big data scenarios, suitable for log processing, data processing and other big data companies and individual customers.

Select scanning billing will take effect from March 31, 2020.

Image processing cost

BOS image processing Including basic image processing costs and advanced image processing costs. The basic image processing cost refers to the cost incurred during operations such as scaling, rotation, watermarking, format conversion, and cutting of the image stored in the BOS. The advanced image processing cost refers to the HEIC compression of the image stored in the BOS, WebP-M6 compression and other high-level operations.

The basic image processing, HEIC image compression and WebP-M6 image compression services in the advanced image processing will be officially charged on June 1, 2020. You can log in to the console-Finance to view usage data.
