Overview

BOS provides the quota management feature. This feature supports the configuration of the upper limit of the number of Buckets and the upper limit of the total capacity in your account, and realizes custom control of the elasticity of storage services.

• BOS supports custom settings for the upper limit of the number of Buckets in the account. By default, BOS supports up to 100 Buckets created by the same account;
• When the number of Buckets created reaches the upper limit you set, the creation of new Buckets will not be allowed. Please set the quota reasonably;
• BOS supports custom setting of the total storage capacity under an account (that is, the total capacity of all Buckets under the same account). BOS sets the total capacity as unlimited by default. If you want to modify it according to your financial budget, you can modify the total capacity limit to a certain value, but the value must be greater than or equal to your current actual storage total.

Operation Guide

1. Log in to Baidu AI Cloud official website

Log in to Baidu AI Cloud official website.

• If you do not register an account, you must first [Register an Account](UserGuide/Account Password/Account Registration.md# Baidu Account Registration) for operation.
• If you have registered an account, you can directly [Login](UserGuide/Account Password/Login.md).

2. Enter the BOS global overview page

After entering the global overview page, the top of the page displays your current total number of Buckets and total storage capacity. If you want to modify the total number of Buckets, you can click the current Bucket value to modify; if you want to modify the total capacity, you can click the current total capacity value to modify.

3. Modify the maximum number of Buckets

You can modify the upper limit of the number of Buckets to any value between the current number of Buckets and 100 in the pop-up window. If you have created 2 Buckets at this time, you can modify the upper limit of the number of Buckets to any value of 2-100 according to your usage.

• When the number of Buckets you create exceeds the set upper limit, you will not be able to create new Bucket;
• You can continue to adjust the upper limit of the number of Buckets within the allowed range when the total number of Buckets reaches the upper limit.

4. Modify the total capacity limit

You can modify the total storage capacity under your account in the pop-up window. The default total storage capacity of BOS has no upper limit. If you want to limit the storage capacity based on your financial situation, you can modify it to have an upper limit and set the upper limit value.

• After the total storage file capacity exceeds the upper limit, any new files will not be stored in BOS, so please confirm carefully;
• The set storage upper limit shall not be lower than the current total storage capacity;
• After you set the storage limit, if you want to continue to store new files, you can continue to modify the total capacity limit.
