Instance Renewal
Manual renewal to the RDS for PostgreSQL instances
Manual renewal is defined as the renewal mode by default, and tailored to the scenario in which the RDS for POstgreSQL is put into initial use and renewal is operated by OPS staff on schedule. Weaknesses of manual renewal include monthly operation to the manual renewal, complicated operations, and interruption of instance services or data loss likely resulting from the negligence of renewal.
Only the prepaid instance supports renewal action. If you have multiple prepaid instances renewed, click the Box ahead of instance list, click “Renew” for renewal by batch.
Two Renewal Entries
Method 1: Enter the “RDS - Instance List” page, and select “Renew” in “RDS - Instance List”.
Method 2: On the “Instance List” page, click “Instance Name” to enter the “Basic Information” page, and select “Renew“.
After clicking “Renewal” by the two methods above, select the “Renewal Duration”, click “OK” to enter the “Confirm Order” page. Click “Pay” to complete the payment.
Automated renewal to the RDS for PostgreSQL instances
The automated renewal is tailored to the scenario in which the RDS for PostgreSQL is put into long-term use. Its strengths include convenient operation, prevention against data deletion resulting from the negligence of renewal, and higher security.
