Cluster management

You can enter the cluster management page to set read/write separation. The cluster management page displays the master instance and read-only instance that are bound to the current proxy instance.

Note:

• One master instance is only bound to one proxy instance

On the cluster management page, you can set the read traffic for the bound master instance and read-only instance.

Additionally, you can click the “Set Weight” button on the action bar to distribute read traffic ratio for master instance and read-only instance. The traffic weight is set in five options (1-5), and the higher number denotes a larger read traffic weight. After the setting, the proportion of the read traffic weight numbers in the master instance and read-only instance refers to read traffic ratio of the instance in the read/write separation.

Example

Master instance bound to 1 read-only instance

On the page below, the proxy instance purchased by the user is bound to one master instance and one read-only instance, and read traffic settings of master instance and read-only instance are all enabled.

In addition, the user has set master instance’s read traffic weight as 1, and the read-only instance’s read traffic weight as 3. In this setting, the read traffic ratio of the master instance to the read-only instance is 1:3, i.e., the master instance bears 1/4 of the read traffic , and read-only instance bears 3/4 of the read traffic.

Master instance bound to read-only instances

If you purchase multiple read-only instances for master instance and set the read traffic ratio for the instance via the proxy instance, the final read traffic proportioning rule keeps unchanged, as compared to the proportioning rule in the purchase of one read-only instance.

If you purchase three read-only instances for one master instance, and set the read traffic weight of master instance as 1, and that of three proxy instances as 2, 2, and 2 via the bound proxy instance, the read traffic ratio, which is realized by read/writing separation feature, is 1: 2: 2: 2.
