Create an Account
Introduction
The RDS supports the creation of a common account and a high-privilege account. Herein, the high-privilege account has more privileges relative to the common account and performs more fine-grained privilege control. For detailed steps on the creation of an account and detailed instructions on account privilege, see Manage Database Account.
Create a common account
- On the "Account Management" page of the instance, you can see the list of created accounts and the account information.
- Click the "Create an Account" button to enter the "Create an Account" subpage.
Notes:
- You are not allowed to add a common account named "root", but you may add the high-privilege account named "root".
- Reserved keywords such as admin, guest, and SQL statement cannot be used when creating an account.
- Set an account name and password and click "OK" to create an account.
Create a high-privilege account
The RDS for Mysql supports high-privilege "super" account, and higher user privilege means more fine-grained privilege management.
Enter the instance's "Account Management" page, select "Create a Super Account", and fill in the account number, password, and remarks information according to the prompts on the page. After successful creation, you can see the "Account Type" is a master instance "super" account in the account list. Also, you are entitled to password modification or account deletion on the "Account List" page.
