Instructions for Billing Mode

Billing items
During the use of the RDS instance, fees are charged for the RDS instance, and additional fees are charged for some features of the RDS. All billing items of the RDS include:

| Master instance | - Master instance’s specification fees (including CPU price and memory price). -Support prepayment and post-payment. |
| Read-only instance | -Read-only instance’s specification fees (including CPU price and memory price). Support the postpaid mode; support to prepaid mode is upcoming. |
| Proxy instance | - Proxy instance’s specification fees (including CPU price and memory price). Support postpaid mode; support to prepaid mode is upcoming. |
| Storage disk | - Instance (master instance/read-only instance/cloned instance) storage disk fees. - As for different types of master instances, the storage disk prices vary from one another. -Support Prepaid and Postpaid, and keep consistent with master instance billing mode. |
| Clone Instance | - Cloned instance’s specification fees (including CPU price and memory price). -Support prepayment and post-payment. |
| Public network traffic | The instance’s access to the public network is free of charge for now. |
| Backups space | - Free storage space: present you with backup storage space (100%*local disk space), free of charge. -Charged storage space: If the total size of the instance’s data backups and log backups exceeds the complimentary storage space, the excess part is charged. Presently, the excess part is free of charge, and fees might be charged in the future. |
Billing mode
The RDS supports two billing modes, i.e., Prepaid (annual and monthly packages) and postpaid (charge by volume). The detailed billing rules are as follows:

| Prepaid-annual and monthly billing | -That is, annual and monthly payment, which is required when creating an instance. -Suitable for the long-term demand of stable business, the cost is lower than the post-payment, and the longer the purchase time, the more discount. |
-Prepaid instance supports configuration upgrading, but configuration downgrading and release are not supported. -The prepaid instance does not support unsubscription. Please submit a work order for processing if release is required. |
| Post-payment—pay per use | -Charge by the hour, namely, deduct fees and generate bills on the hour (Beijing Time) according to instance configuration. The billing time is within 1 hour after the completion of the current billing cycle. -It is suitable for situations where business changes greatly in an instant, and resources can be released immediately after use, thus reducing costs. |
-Post-paid instances can be released at any time. - Postpaid instance supports change of configuration (upgrading/downgrading) and billing change (Postpaid to Prepaid). -Ensure that the account has no arrears before purchase, and the sum of the account balance and available vouchers is ≥100 yuan. |
