Create a Read-only Instance

Overview
The following introduces the creation of the RDS for MySQL read-only instance, and you can create and manage the instance via RDS console.
Operation guide
- Log in to Baidu AI Cloud Official Website.
- Not registered, please Register Account first.
- If you register the Baidu account, you can Log in to it directly.
- Create an RDS for MySQL Standard Instance (above Version 5.6) as the RDS read-only instance’s master instance.
- In the “Instance List”, click “Instance Name” to be selected to enter the instance’s “Basic Information” page. Click “Create Read-only Instance” on the top right corner of the page to create a read-only instance for the current master instance.
- The system shows the guide for creating an RDS read-only instance. After selecting such configurations as database type and version, memory, and disk capacity, click “Buy Now”.
Note: Read-only instance’s memory and disk capacity should be not less than the master instance’s.
Notes: Presently, if you need a memory of 32G, 48G, and 64G or need storage space of higher than 500G, you are advised to submit the Ticket to contact the customer service for enabling application.
- After the successful purchase, return to the “RDS Instance List” page. Then, you can view the created RDS read-only instance and master-slave instance dendrogram, read-only instance status, location, database type, and expiry time.
- In the instance list, click the read-only instance ID to enter the RDS Read-only Instance Details page.
- The sync time delay with the master instance is shown on the right-hand side of the read-only instance status.
- Read-only instance information like running status and configuration. is shown on the “Basic Information” tag.
- You can manage the read-only instance on other tags.
