Master-Slave Switch
Last Updated:2021-04-28
Supported series
- Standalone Basic Version: Not supported for now (since the Standalone Basic Version has only one master node and no slave node).
- Dual-computer High-availability Version: Supports the RDS for MySQL; do not support RDS for SQL Server and RDS for PostgreSQL for now.
- Raft Financial Version: Not supported for now.
Considerations
Before switching
- Please select the low peak of service for switching.
- Persistent connection needs to be disconnected for master nodes, or persistent connection only supports read action without write action after the switching.
- There are no massive transactions for writing at master node, leading to long-term lock occupation and release failure.
During switching
- Master-slave switch might lead to services’ transient interruption and temporary write stop.
Action
- Enter the “RDS - Instance List” page, click the instance name to enter the “Instance Details” page.
- Enter the “Basic Information” page, view the “Node Information” module, and click “Master-slave Switch” for action.
