Automated backup creation

Current RDS for PostgreSQL does not support automated backup.

Manual backup creation

Click the “Manual Backups” at the top left corner on the backup sub-page to start the backup, which lasts for a few minutes. Meanwhile, you are unable to perform any management action to this Baidu AI Cloud Database RDS for PostgreSQL instance.

Recover the backup

1. Click the “Recover” link next to the “Recover Backup”. In the pop-up “Confirm” box, click “OK” to start the “Recover“ task. Few minutes later (contingent upon the backup size), the Baidu AI Cloud Database RDS for PostgreSQL instance data is rolled back to the selected backup status.

Notice: After being rolled back, Baidu AI Cloud Database RDS for PostgreSQL overrides the data, and the data cannot be recovered. Meanwhile, the database service is interrupted, so you are advised to operate with great care.

Download backups

If you need to recover a given backup data locally, you can download the backup data.

1. On the backup subpage, click “Download” link next to the backup. In the pop-up dialog box, click “Direct Downloading” or copy the link address for local downloading.
