Billing mode change
The RDS instance supports two billing modes, i.e., prepaid and postpaid modes.
Billing change refers to “Prepaid to Postpaid” and “Postpaid to Prepaid”.

Prepaid to Postpaid
- After “Prepaid to Postpaid” is set, the billing mode change takes effect as soon as the prepaid instance is due.
- After “Prepaid to Postpaid” is set, “Billing Change” may be canceled before the instance is due.
- After “Prepaid to Postpaid” is set, the Payment Mode shows “Prepaid” (to be changed”.
- If automated renewal is defined for prepaid instance, billing change is unavailable.
- In the case of “Prepaid to Postpaid”, make sure the balance is greater than CNY100 to avoid billing mode change failure.
- Postpaid to Prepaid: If the “Postpaid” instance is ticked, billing mode changes from postpaid to prepaid, and the change takes effect as soon as the payment is completed successfully.
