Introduction
Product Introduction
The RDS (Relational Database Service) is a professional, high-performance, and high-reliability cloud database service. The RDS provides a Web interface for configuration and operation of the database instances. Also, it provides you such feature supports as reliable data backup and recovery, complete security management, refined monitoring, and convenience in scalability. Compared to the self-built database, the RDS is more economical, professional, efficient, reliable, and simpler in use, allowing you to focus on core services more.
Advantages
Easy deployment: You can easily complete the application for and creation of a database on the RDS console. And, the RDS instance is always ready and put into use within a few minutes. You can manage all instances in a centralized manner via the fully functional console provided by the RDS.
High reliability: The RDS has features including automated fault switch at a single point and automated database backup, ensuring the high availability and data security of the RDS instance. The RDS provides two data backup features, i.e., automated backup and manual backup. The data can be recovered or rolled back to any backup point in the backup storage.
Low cost: The RDS fees are far lower than the cost for the self-built database. You may select different packages according to your own needs and get a complete set of professional database services at a very low price.
