NAT Gateway Instance Diagnosis
Updated at:2025-10-16
The NAT gateway integrates with the Network Diagnostic Service (NDS), offering one-click instance-level diagnostics. It can assess the configuration and operational state of instances, providing intelligent repair suggestions for identified issues. The diagnostics primarily cover connectivity checks, configuration analysis, capacity overload detection, and billing reviews, with the option to view historical diagnostic details.
Prerequisites
- The NAT gateway as described encompasses both public and private NAT gateways.
- For specific operations, refer to Public NAT and Virtual private cloud NAT.
Instance diagnosis
Both types of NAT gateways support instance-level diagnostics.
- Sign in to the NAT gateway Console.
- On the NAT gateway page, find the desired NAT gateway, click on "Instance Diagnosis" in the diagnosis column, and then select "Initiate Diagnosis" in the dialog box.
-
On the instance health diagnostic panel, monitor the diagnostic progress, summary results, and detailed diagnostic information for the instance.
- Anomalies detected will appear directly on this panel. You can expand the details to examine the specific issues.
- In the diagnostic item details section, choose "Show All Diagnostic Items" to view every diagnostic item supported by the NAT gateway, allowing users to examine details for each one.
- Users can also click the option to review historical diagnostic records at the top of the Instance Health Diagnosis panel, which redirects to the details page for this NAT gateway in the Instance Diagnosis Console.
