Path analysis
Updated at:2025-10-16
Path analysis evaluates connectivity between user's source and destination instances, offering visualization, fault diagnosis/location, and network architecture optimization tools.
Description:
- Path analysis checks user configurations for any restrictions without simulating packet transmission.
- Path analysis currently supports these source/destination instance types: Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC), Baidu Baremetal Compute (BBC), and subnets. Support for other product instance types will be added over time.
Application scenarios:
- BCC or BBC instance access within the same or across regions: The source and destination resources in this scenario can belong to different Baidu AI Cloud accounts.
- BCC or BBC instances and subnets can communicate with each other.
Quota:
- Path analysis policies: 100 (submit ticket to adjust quota)
- Historical records: 1,000 entries, non-adjustable;
- Concurrency analysis limit: 3 entries, non-adjustable
Create Path Analysis
Sign in to Cloud Management console and select Product Services - Network - Network Diagnostic Service (NDS) - Path Analysis.

Analysis results
Path analysis results may include: "-", which appears after creating an analysis policy, "accessible," and "inaccessible."
- If the analysis result is "accessible," it means both the request and response directions are open.

- If the analysis result is "inaccessible," it means the request direction is blocked, and no response direction path will be shown.

Note: Path analysis is currently unavailable as the path contains unsupported intermediate nodes.
