Resource unsubscribe classification

Full unsubscribe

In certain scenarios, Baidu AI Cloud provides a full unsubscribe service for you, where the full amount you paid will be refunded to your Baidu AI Cloud account balance, as shown in the following table:

Rules for calculating full refund amount:

Unsubscription amount = actual payment amount of the order - consumed amount. In the scenario of full refund for order cancellation, the consumed amount = 0; that is, the refundable amount = the actual payment amount of the order. Discounts such as coupons used for paying the order are non-refundable.

Unsubscribe of the resource renewal period

Baidu AI Cloud supports unsubscribe for the renewal periods of unused subscription resources. After successful unsubscribe of the renewal period, the resource will not be released immediately, but its validity period will be shortened.

If you have performed scaling operations on the resource after renewal, unsubscribe of the renewal period will no longer be supported for this resource; only difference unsubscribe for the entire lifecycle of the resource is supported.

Usage package unsubscribe

Baidu AI Cloud supports full refund unsubscribe for usage packages purchased within 7 days and unused. Unsubscribe is temporarily not supported for usage packages that have been purchased for more than 7 days or have been used. Additionally, separate unsubscribe of the renewal period for usage packages is temporarily not supported.

After unsubscribe from a usage package, the service will be provided on a postpaid basis. To ensure uninterrupted service, please monitor your account balance regularly to avoid resource suspension due to debts.

Unsubscribe of storage package

Baidu AI Cloud supports full refund unsubscribe of storage packages that are purchased within 7 days and not yet activated. Unsubscribe is not supported for storage packages that have been purchased for more than 7 days or have already been activated. Separate unsubscribe of the renewal period for storage packages is temporarily not supported.

After unsubscribe from a storage package, the service will be provided on a postpaid basis. To ensure uninterrupted service, please monitor your account balance regularly to avoid resource suspension due to debts.

Difference unsubscribe

In certain scenarios, Baidu AI Cloud provides a difference unsubscribe service for you, where the price difference will be refunded based on your actual consumption. Please refer to the following for the scenario and refund amount calculation rules:

Unsubscribe of the full cycle for subscription resources

Unsubscribe of the full lifecycle for subscription resources

When unsubscribing the entire subscription resource under running, it is a difference unsubscribe. Upon unsubscribe, the resource will be directly released, and the data will be immediately deleted and cannot be recovered. Please proceed with caution.

Rules for calculating difference unsubscribe amount

Calculation formula for unsubscribe amount: unsubscribe amount = order amount - consumed amount. Discounts such as coupons used for order payment do not support refunds.

Consumed amount = resource usage duration ✖ resource unit-price (list price) = number of annual resource usage ✖ annual unit-price (list price) ➕ number of full remaining months of resource usage ✖ monthly unit-price (list price) ➕ (number of remaining days of resource usage ✖ daily unit-price (list price)

• Resource usage duration: The number of days a resource is used, with less than one day counted as one day. During the calculation, the number of days of resource usage will exist in the form of years of resource usage + months of resource usage + remaining days of resource usage.

  • Number of full years of resource usage = the maximum number of full years included in the resource usage duration, i.e., the total duration rounded down to the nearest full year
  • Number of full months of resource usage = the number of full months that are less than the full year after rounding down the number of resource usage days to the nearest full year;
  • Number of remaining days of resource usage = the number of days that are less than the full month after rounding down the number of resource usage days to the nearest full year and full month

• Unit price (list price): It is consistent with the resource usage duration; resource unit prices are categorized into annual unit price, monthly unit price, and daily unit price. All three are the list prices at the time of purchase, corresponding to the full month of resource usage and the remaining days of resource usage respectively

  • Annual resource unit price: The annual subscription list price of the corresponding configuration of resources at the time of purchase, which generally includes discounts
  • Monthly resource unit price: The monthly subscription list price of the corresponding configuration of resources at the time of purchase
  • Daily resource unit price: Monthly subscription list price/number of days in the month of placing the order

The rules for calculating the consumed amount of the following products are as follows: Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC), Cloud Disk Server (CDS), EIP, EIPGROUP, Cloud Smart Network (CSN), NAT Gateway, and ERNIE Factory Products.

If you unsubscribe when the resource usage duration is 30 days or less: Consumed amount = Resource usage duration ✖ Resource unit price (list price) ✖ 1.5;

If you unsubscribe when the resource usage duration is longer than 30 days: Consumed amount = Resource usage duration ✖ Resource unit price (list price)

Refund for Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC)

If the resources you selected in the previous step include the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) or Cloud Disk System (CDS), we will automatically include the bound Cloud Disk System (CDS) or Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) to ensure the consistency of the lifecycle between the server and its bound Cloud Disk System, and to reduce your resource management costs. You can process the refund for these resources together.

Cloud Disk System (CDS) does not currently support associated refunds; you can refund Cloud Disk System (CDS) independently.

[Refund Quota]

Baidu AI Cloud will calculate your monthly refund quota (points) for Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) based on the server consumption of your current account from the previous month. Each time you process a refund for Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC), your monthly points will be deducted. Points are updated on the 1st day of every month. For detailed instructions on the quota, please refer to Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) Refund Rules

If your remaining points are insufficient to cover the points required for the refund of your target server, your refund application will be rejected. You may wait for the monthly credit quota to be refreshed in the following month and then reinitiate the server refund application.

Unsupported cases

• Postpaid resources: Unsubscribe is not supported. You can go to the console of the product of the target resource to perform the release operation;
• Resources expiring on the unsubscribe date or already expired: Unsubscribe is not supported;
• Resources with pending orders (e.g., renew/scale-up/shift charge) cannot be unsubscribed;
• Usage packages: Unsubscribe is not supported if the package is purchased more than 7 days ago or has been used;
• Storage packages: Unsubscribe is not supported if the package is purchased more than 7 days ago or has been activated.

Fund flow after unsubscribe

After the unsubscribe is completed, the funds will be returned to your Baidu AI Cloud account. You can go to the Console - Financial Overview page to withdraw the funds (discounts such as used coupons cannot be refunded).
