Configuration Upgrade Or Shrinkage

Baidu AI Cloud provides upgrade for prepaid services and both upgrade and downgrade for postpaid services. You can flexibly adjust resources according to your needs during usage.

Upgrade for prepaid services

  1. If you wish to upgrade the configuration of your purchased prepaid service, please complete the upgrade at least 24 hours before the service expires. For detailed operations, refer to the video below:

  2. Payable amount = (new configuration price - original configuration price) × (remaining contract days / total contract days).

    Take the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) on-demand service as an example:

    You activated the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) monthly subscription service (1-core CPU + 1 GB memory) at 10:00 on January 10, 2020, and paid RMB 45 for one month. At 11:00 on January 13, 2020, you upgraded the configuration to 2-core CPU + 2 GB memory (RMB 138/month), and the amount payable = RMB 138 × (28 days ÷ 31 days) - RMB 45 × (28 days ÷ 31 days) = RMB 84.

Configuration change for postpaid services

Upgrade for postpaid services

After the upgrade of postpaid services, it will take effect immediately (minute level) and be charged according to the new configuration fee; compared to the upgrade of prepaid services, there is no time limit for operation. For specific operations, please refer to the video below.

Take the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) on-demand service as an example:

You activated the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) on-demand service (1-core CPU + 1 GB RAM) at 10:00 on January 10, 2020. At 10:30 on the same day, you upgraded the configuration to 2-core CPUs + 2 GB RAM, and the new configuration took effect immediately at 10:31. At 11:00 am on January 10, the fee will be deducted; payable amount = 30 minutes × RMB 0.0044/minute+30 minutes × RMB 0.0088/minute = RMB 0.397.

Downgrade for postpaid services

After downgrading a postpaid service, the new configuration takes effect immediately (minute level) and will be billed at the new configuration fee. Unlike the upgrade of prepaid services, there is no time restriction for performing this downgrade operation. For detailed steps, please refer to the video below.

Take the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) on-demand service as an example:

You activated the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) on-demand service (2-core CPUs + 2 GB RAM) at 10:00 on January 10, 2020. At 10:30 on the same day, you downgraded the configuration to 1-core CPU + 1 GB RAM, and the new configuration took effect immediately at 10:31. At 11:00 am on January 10, the fee will be deducted; payable amount = 30 minutes × RMB 0.0088/minute+30 minutes × RMB 0.0044/minute = RMB 0.397.
