Format Disk Partition on Windows System
Overview
If your purchased Baidu Cloud Compute Instance uses a Windows OS Image, you must partition the new disk after purchase.
This example partitions "Disk 1", which has a size of 5GB.
Windows system operation
1. Open Service Manager
Press "Win + R" to open the search bar, or click the Search option in the Start menu. Type diskmgmt.msc in the dialog box and press Enter to open Windows Disk Manager.

2. Online
In this example, the disk to be partitioned is "Disk 1". Right-click on the "Disk 1" section at the bottom of the page and select "Online".

3. Initialize Disk
In the "Disk 1" section, right-click and choose "Initialize Disk".

4. Confirm initialization
In the "Initialize Disk" pop-up window, click "OK" to finish initializing Disk 1.

5. New simple volume
Right-click the space to the right of "Disk 1" and choose "New Simple Volume".

6. Next
In the "New Simple Volume Wizard" pop-up window, click "Next".

7. Setting Simple Volume Size
Set the size of the simple volume, which is the partition size. By default, all the remaining space is selected. You can specify the disk partition size as needed and then click "Next.\

8. Assign Drive Letters
Assign a drive letter (default sequential numbering) and click "Next.\

9. Format Disk Partition
Format the partition: "Perform Quick Format" is selected by default. Then click "Next.\

10. Completion
Click "Finish" to let the system automatically complete the new disk partition setup, allowing you to view the server's latest partition status.
