Charge

Updated at:2025-11-03

Before using a dedicated cluster, please review its billing details, including charge items, charge types, refund policies, and expiration policies.

1. Charge type

  • Dedicated clusters only support prepay (subscription) purchase method;
  • The snapshot resources created for dedicated cloud disk servers are not stored in the purchased dedicated cluster, so snapshots will be billed on a postpay basis. For more information on snapshot charge, please refer to Snapshot Charge;

2. Charge items

  • The cost of a dedicated cluster is calculated as: cluster capacity × purchase period × unit price for the cluster type. Detailed descriptions are as follows:
Charge item Description
Cluster capacity Billing is calculated in GB units. For the sold capacity and purchase step size of the dedicated cluster, refer to Instructions for Use
Purchase period The minimum purchase period is 6 months, and the maximum is 5 years. Dedicated clusters can also be purchased for periods of 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years.
Dedicated cluster unit-price Currently, dedicated clusters support SSD dedicated cluster and HDD dedicated cluster. For cluster unit-price, please refer to the CDS Price List

3. Service suspension upon expiration

  • Impending expiration: Before the dedicated cluster expires, the system will send expiration notifications via in-site messages, email, and SMS 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the cluster expires. Please be sure to pay close attention to the expiration reminders in a timely manner.. The email reminder contents sent to you will include dedicated cluster information, CDS system disks associated with the dedicated cluster, BCC IDs of the Baidu Cloud Compute to which the system disks belong, and CDS data disk information. Please promptly pay close attention to the expiration status of resources and initiate renewal in advance;
  • After cluster expiration: After a dedicated cluster expires, the dedicated cluster, CDS data disks created through the dedicated cluster, CDS system disks created through the dedicated cluster, and the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) hosting the system disk will be retained for 7 days for you. If you fail to renew the dedicated cluster within the 7-day resource retention period, the dedicated cluster, CDS data disks created by the dedicated cluster, CDS system disks created by the dedicated cluster, and the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) hosting those system disks will all be released, Please ensure to initiate renewal for the dedicated cluster in advance or enable auto-renewal;
  • Expiration policy under other circumstances:

    • Account debt: Cloud Disk Server (CDS) created by the dedicated cluster no longer follows the debt release logic of cloud resources; the release time is the same as the expiration time of the dedicated cluster. If the dedicated cluster is not expired but your account is in debt, it will not affect the normal use of cloud disk servers created by the dedicated cluster;

4. Renewal

  • Auto-renewal (recommended): You can enable Auto-renewal when creating a dedicated cluster to ensure resources are not released upon expiration. It is recommended for use;
  • Manual renewal: After creating a dedicated cluster, you can manually renew the cluster. This method relies on manual operations and carries the risk of cluster release due to delayed renewal. It is recommended to enable the auto-renewal function;

5. Refund

CDS dedicated clusters do not support no-reason refunds within 7 days of purchase. After purchasing a CDS dedicated cluster, a refund request can only be initiated after 6 months of usage. Refund amounts comply with Baidu AI Cloud Finance - Refund Policy.
