Disk Expiration and Debt Reminder
Subscription disk expiration reminders and handling
Subscription Disks refer to cloud disks or services for which you purchase a certain number of months or years of capacity through a one-time prepayment. When a prepaid cloud disk expires, CDS will send you an expiration reminder. If you do not renew the disk, the system will clear, process, and release the cloud disk within a certain period, and the cloud disk will be irrecoverable.
Expiration reminders
- The system will send a reminder 7 days before the contract expiration date.
Handling after expiration
- After the contract expires, the system will send a renewal notification. Your data will be retained free of charge for 7 days during this period.
- On the third day after expiration, data disks will be automatically unmounted. Please pay close attention to resource unmounting notifications. The mounting relationship between the cloud disk and the cloud server (before unmounting) can be viewed in the expiration email sent by the system.
- If the disk is mounted, you can unmount it; if it is not mounted, you can release it. All other operations are prohibited during the arrears period.
- CDS data resources that have been expired for more than 7 days will be cleared and irrecoverable. Please pay attention to SMS and email notifications and renew in a timely manner.
- The system will send notifications 1 day prior to resource cleanup and at the time of resource cleanup. Please pay attention to these notifications.
Reminders and handling for arrears of pay-as-you-go disks
Pay-As-You-Go Disks refer to disks for which you are charged on an hourly basis through a post-payment method. Baidu AI Cloud will generate bills hourly based on the corresponding cloud disk capacity. The incurred fees will be directly deducted from your Baidu AI Cloud account (vouchers will be prioritized for deduction if available). When your account is in arrears or has no available vouchers, CDS will send you an arrears reminder. If you do not recharge the account, the system will clear, process, and release the cloud disk within a certain period, and the cloud disk will be irrecoverable.
Insufficient balance reminder
- The system checks whether your account balance (including available coupons) is sufficient to cover the costs for the next 3 days based on the average payable bill amount from the last 3 days. If the balance is insufficient, the system will send a renewal reminder.
- The system checks whether your account balance (including available coupons) is sufficient to cover the costs for the next day based on the average payable bill amount from the last day. If the balance is insufficient, the system will send a renewal reminder.
- At the top of each hour, Beijing Time, the system checks if your account balance is sufficient to pay the current CDS bill (e.g., at 11:00 Beijing Time, it checks if the account balance is enough to pay the bill for 10:00 to 11:00). If insufficient, it results in debt, and the system will send a debt notification.
Handling after arrears
- In the event of debt, the system will send a notification about service suspension. Data will be retained for 7 days, and fees will apply during this period.
- CDS data resources that are overdue for more than 7 days will be cleared and irrecoverable. Please pay attention to SMS and email notifications and renew in a timely manner.
- If no recharge is made within 7 days, the system will release the disk. A release notification will be sent 1 day before the release, and another notification will be sent when the release occurs. Please pay attention to these notifications.
Reminders and handling for general storage capacity package (GSCP)
- When a general storage capacity package (GSCP) expires, its service will be immediately suspended and it will no longer be used for deducting resource bill fees.
- After expiration, the capacity package will be kept for 7 days and will be automatically deleted 7 days later.
- The system will send reminder messages 7, 3, and 1 days before the expiration date. Please pay attention to these reminders.
- Renewing capacity packages is not currently supported. If a capacity package expires, please purchase a new one promptly and set its effective time.
