Use Performance Pre-Configuration

Preface

Performance preconfiguration is a high-performance product service offered by CDS. It allows you to adjust disk performance independently without needing to increase capacity. This document explains how to enable performance preconfiguration features.

Usage steps

Configure additional performance during cloud disk server creation

1. Sign in to the Baidu AI Cloud official website

Sign in to Baidu AI Cloud official website.

  • If you have not registered an account, you must first [register an account](UserGuide/Register an account.md#Register a Baidu Account).
  • If you have registered an account, you can directly sign in.

2. Access the BCC console

Go to the BCC console by selecting "Baidu Cloud Compute > Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC)" from the left sidebar.

3. Create a Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) or a separate CDS data disk

Access the creation page for Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) or CDS data disks to configure additional disk IO. After configuration, you can compare the performance of the disk in the disk performance comparison section below.

4. Confirm order payment

Once the configuration is complete, verify the additional IO details within the order information. Place the order and proceed with payment after verification. If you select a postpaid instance, the system will deduct charges from your account balance on an hourly basis.

Configure additional performance for disks created

1. Sign in to the Baidu AI Cloud official website

  • If you have registered an account, you can directly sign in.

2. Access the BCC console

Navigate to the BCC console by selecting "Baidu Cloud Compute > Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC)" in the left sidebar.

3. Enter the CDS disk list

Choose the disk that requires adjustment, click "Performance Improvement" in the operations bar, and initiate the disk performance adjustment. The additional performance will take effect immediately upon placing the order and confirming the IO performance enhancements.
