Set Alarm Rules

The cloud database DocDB for MongoDB offers instance status monitoring and alarm features. By setting alarm policies for important metrics, you can immediately know whether the metric data is abnormal, helping you quickly locate and handle faults.
Operating Steps
- Log in to MongoDB Management Console.
- In the upper left corner of the console page, select the region where the instance resides.
- In the left navbar, click the replica cluster instance list or sharded cluster instance list.
- Click the Instance name of the target instance to enter the Instance Details page.
- Click Monitoring in the Left Navbar, select the node to set the alarm policy according to your requirements, and click the Alarm Details at the top of the page to enter the Alarm Management page of the instance to set the Alarm Policy.
Add an Alarm Policy
- Click the Alarm Policy in the upper navbar to enter the alarm policy of the cloud monitoring BCM platform, where you can add an alarm policy and create an alarm action in case of abnormality, insufficient data, and recovery to normal.
- Click Add Policy to add an alarm policy, define the alarm policy information, select the corresponding alarm action, and click Save to complete the addition.
Description of policy information
Policy Information | Description |
---|---|
Name | The alarm policy name. |
Monitoring items | You need to set the monitoring metrics of the alarm policy. |
Statistical cycle | The default value is 5 minutes. Optional values: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes |
Statistical mode | The default value is average. Optional values: average value, sum value, maximum value, and minimum value. |
Threshold | The alarm threshold of the metric. |
Times of repetitions for triggering an alarm | The default value is 1. The optional values include 1-10 times. |
Alarm Level | The default value is important. The optional values include serious, notice, important, and warning. |
View Alarm History
- Click the Alarm History in the upper navbar to enter the Alarm History page, where you can view the alarm event generated by this instance.
Add an Alarm Action
- Click the Alarm Action in the upper navbar to enter the Alarm Action page. You can add corresponding alarm actions as the case may be.
- Click Create Action
- Enter the “Create alarm action” page, enter the basic information and notification information of the alarm action, and save the information to complete the creation.
Description of alarm action parameters
Parameters | Description |

Action name | The name of the alarm action to be created |
Available region | The alarm actions in different regions adopt different policies in corresponding regions. |
Notification method | Baidu AI Cloud currently supports "Email notification", "SMS notification", "Phone notification", and a combination of them. |
Notification object | Currently, Baidu AI Cloud has two kinds of notification objects, namely "User Group" and “User". If you have no notification object created, you can click Add User Group or Add User to create one group or user. |
Scheduled disabling | You can select whether to disable the alarm action regularly. |
