Constraints

• Do not support the change in the instance type (e.g., change from a replica cluster instance to a sharded cluster instance) and the storage version.
• Do not support the downgrading of the storage specifications.
• During the prepayment, do not support the downgrade of the instance CPU/memory specifications.

Influence

• The configuration change cannot result in any data loss.
• When the instance is subject to reconfiguration, it may cause an interruption lasting less than 30 seconds once or twice.
• The reconfiguration time is dependent on the network, task queue, and data volume, among others. You’d better execute the reconfiguration when the business volume is at a low level, ensuring automatic continuity of your applications.

Operating Steps

1. Log in to the MongoDB management console.
2. In the upper left corner of the page, select the region where the instance resides.
3. In the left navigation bar, click Replica Cluster Instance List.
4. Complete the reconfiguration of an instance.

5. On the reconfiguration page, select the instance specification and storage space.

6. Complete the payment according to the prompts.
