Bind Existing Tags

After you complete creating tags, you can bind the tags to the instance for classification and then filter the instances by tags subsequently.
Prerequisites
- You need to use your primary account to log in to the MongoDB console. The sub-account does not have the authorization to manage and use tags temporally.
- You have created the New Tag.
Considerations
- You can select up to 50 instances for binding the tags in a batch simultaneously.
- You can bind up to 20 tags to each instance.
- You cannot bind or unbind more than 20 tags.
Operation Steps
- Log in to the MongoDB management console.
- In the upper left corner of the page, select the Region where the instance resides.
- In the left navbar, click the Replica Cluster Instance List or Sharded Cluster Instance List.
- Select the following steps by the tag binding method.
- Bind a tag to a single instance: Select the target instance and click the Edit Tag above the instance list, as shown in the following figure:
- Bind tags to multiple instances in batch: Check the instances that you want to bind tags to multiple instances in batch, and then click the Edit Tag above the instance list, as shown in the following figure:
- In the pop-up Edit Tag dialog box, select the Tag Key and Value, as shown in the following figure:
Description:
If the tag key and value do not have an optional drop-down list, Create a Tag.
Click OK.
