          Bind Existing Tags

After you complete creating tags, you can bind the tags to the instance for classification and then filter the instances by tags subsequently.

          Prerequisites

          • You need to use your primary account to log in to the MongoDB console. The sub-account does not have the authorization to manage and use tags temporally.
          • You have created the New Tag.

          Considerations

          • You can select up to 50 instances for binding the tags in a batch simultaneously.
          • You can bind up to 20 tags to each instance.
          • You cannot bind or unbind more than 20 tags.

          Operation Steps

          1. Log in to the MongoDB management console.
          2. In the upper left corner of the page, select the Region where the instance resides.
          3. In the left navbar, click the Replica Cluster Instance List or Sharded Cluster Instance List.
          4. Select the following steps by the tag binding method.
          • Bind a tag to a single instance: Select the target instance and click the Edit Tag above the instance list, as shown in the following figure:

          • Bind tags to multiple instances in batch: Check the instances that you want to bind tags to multiple instances in batch, and then click the Edit Tag above the instance list, as shown in the following figure:

          1. In the pop-up Edit Tag dialog box, select the Tag Key and Value, as shown in the following figure:

          Description:

If the tag key and value do not have an optional drop-down list, Create a Tag.

          Click OK.
