View the instance list

In the Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB instance list, the user can create a New Instance or view the name /ID of the existing instance, availability zone, the current state, payment method, configuration, purchased disk storage space and other information.

Notes: The Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB instance has the following statuses:

• Creating: Operations such as delete and change are not allowed when creating an instance.
• Running: The instance is in normal operation.
• Restarting: Operations such as delete and change are not allowed during restarting an instance.
• Upgrading and degrading: Operations such as delete and change are not allowed while changing an instance.
• Expired: The prepaid instance has expired, and the user can renew or release it.

At the same time, the user can do operations such as Change, Restart, Release, Renewal and other management operations to the selected instances in the instance list page.

View instance details

The user can retrieve some information about the current instance and perform the desired operation by viewing the instance details.

The user can change or reset the instance name or password.

The user can view the configuration details of the instance and change the configuration as needed.

The user can view the core monitoring information of the current Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB instance, and can view the information of the two nodes respectively by switching.

The user can view the current instance of the payment method, due time and other related information.

The user can view the connection information for the current instance and copy it with one key.

Whitelist

After creating the MongoDB instance, you need to set up the whitelist management page in the instance details. So, you can set up the IP whitelist of the instance to allow access to the instance by partially trusted external devices.

• Regular IP address is supported, such as 192.168.0.1?
• CIDR address is supported, such as 192.168.1.0/24?
• Multiple addresses are separated by commas or blanks, such as 192.168.0.1,192.168.1.0/24?
• 0.0.0.0/0 represents all addresses are allowed.

Change and Expand the Capacity

Change Instances of the Replica Set

If desired to modify or expand the capacity of the existing DocDB for MongoDB instance, the user can select the "change configuration" in the "please select" item after selecting the instance on the instance list page.

After that, select the new configuration parameters of the instance in the optional interface. Meanwhile, the corresponding price difference should be paid according to the new configuration parameters. For the currently supported configuration selection of cloud database DocDB for MongoDB, see 05 instance specification.

Notices:

• The postpaid mode supports upgrading and degrading of the CPU memory, but only upgrading of the disk;
• In the prepaid mode, you can only upgrade the CPU memory and disk.

After confirming the change operation, the instance enters the "upgrade/degrade" state, and inevitably there is a second flash. Therefore, consider the business case and perform the change operation at a reasonable time.

Change Shard Cluster Instances

Changing the configuration of the shard cluster structure instance is possible by changing the specifications and number of nodes in the instance cluster.

1. Change the specification single Mongos node

   • The optional specification is the same as when creating it, and the current configuration is selected by default.
   • Degrading is not supported in prepaid instances.

2. Change the number of Mongos node

   • The optional specification is the same as when it was created, with only one Mongos node added at a time.

3. Change the specification of a single shard node

   • The optional specification is the same as when creating it, and the current configuration is selected by default.
   • Degrading is not supported in prepaid instances.
   • For each instance of the paid package, the disk must not be less than the current configuration;
   • Depending on the amount of data, it may take several minutes to several hours to change. It is not recommended to read or write during this period. Please change at the low peak of the business.

4. Change the number of Shard node

   • The optional specification and disk size are the same when creating it, and only 1 shard node can be added each time.
   • It takes several minutes to add shard, please change in the low peak of the business.

Change Billing Mode

The Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB instance supports two billing changes: postpaid to prepaid and prepaid to postpaid.

1. Enter the "Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for mongodb-instance list" page, tick the (multi-optional) instance, and click charging change.

   • Tick the "postpaid" instance, then change the billing method from postpaid to prepaid, which will take effect immediately after successful payment.
   • Tick the "prepaid" instance to change the billing method from prepaid to postpaid. The billing method change will take effect immediately after the prepaid payment expires, and the billing change can be canceled before the expiration. The billing mode is shown as "prepaid (to be changed)" when the change from prepaid to postpaid does not take effect. This feature only supports instances where automatic renewal is not enabled.

   

   Note: The user needs to ensure sufficient balance (balance >100) when changing the prepaid billing mode to postpaid billing mode, so as to avoid the failure of balance check when the setting takes effect.

2. Confirm the paid time and click "next" to enter the "confirm order" page.
3. Click "Pay" to enter the payment link Successfully paid

Restart an Instance

When your instance is currently over-connected or other performance problems, try to recover by restarting.

You can select the corresponding instance on the instance list page and click the "restart" button.

After that, the instance enters the "restart" state. After restarting, it enters into a "running" state.

Note: Restart operation will inevitably bring the possibility of instance connection interruption. Please consider the business situation in advance and restart the operation at a reasonable time.

Release an Instances

The Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB currently supports both prepaid and postpaid.

Prepaid instances support release only after instance expiration, while postpaid instances are supported for release at any time.

When you need to release an instance, select the instance from the instance list and click the release button.

Renew instances

Baidu AI Cloud prepaid Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB instance will send short message notification to the user 7 days before and stop service after expiration. But the user's data will be kept for seven days without charge, after which it will be cleaned up.

Manual Renewal

The user can renew within 7 days after the expiration of the instance or in advance.

After the user selects the instance on the list page, he can click the "renew" button to perform the operation.

On the renewal confirmation page, determine and pay the instance for the duration at this point to complete the renewal after defining the renewal duration.

Auto Renewal

The user can renew automatically in the purchase information of the instance creation page;

You can also renew automatically for one or more instances of the Baidu AI Cloud database DocDB for MongoDB in the renewal management page of the financial center.
