Quick Start

This article details how to start using the Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) platform via the console in just about two minutes.

Registration and login

Before using Baidu AI Cloud Monitor, users must have a Baidu AI Cloud account and complete certification. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Register and sign in to Baidu AI Cloud Platform. Refer to Register and Sign in.
2. Complete certification; for details, refer to Certification. The Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) platform can only be used after certification.
3. After successful login, select Product Services - Monitor Operation and Maintenance - Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) in the Cloud Management Console navigation bar to start using the Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) service.

Cost description

1. Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) requires no additional purchases or activations. The service is automatically enabled when users register for a Baidu AI Cloud account. After purchasing and using Baidu AI Cloud products, users can check the operational status of the products and set up alarms through the Baidu Cloud Monitor management console. Currently, Baidu Cloud Monitor automatically tracks more than 50 Baidu AI Cloud products.
2. Currently, only the Site Monitor module of Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) is chargeable. Site Monitor module billing starts on January 31, 2023. For details, see Site Monitor Pricing.

Start using

1. In the navigation bar, choose Product Service - Baidu Cloud Monitor (BCM) to open the Baidu Cloud Monitor Overview page.

   Description:

   • Baidu AI Cloud currently supports multiple Regions, and the overview page displays the Monitor status of Services you have activated in the current Region. If you have activated multi-region services, you can switch between different Regions' Monitor information via the top navigation bar. For detailed information on multi-region services, refer to [Region Selection Guide](Reference/Region Selection Instructions/Region.md).
   • The overview page features three tabs: Cloud Product Monitor, Site Monitor, and Custom Monitor, providing insights into the monitor statuses of various services.

2. BCM offers monitoring and alarm features for Cloud Product Monitor, Application Monitor, Custom Monitor, and Site Monitor, delivering comprehensive, multi-angle protection for your applications. You can leverage the features of each module based on your application requirements. Cloud Product Monitor automatically performs monitoring without needing you to create Monitor Tasks, while other monitor types require you to add Monitor Tasks for analysis. 3. BCM also includes visualization capabilities, enabling multi-instance and multi-metric comparative analysis through View Metrics and Dashboard. This addresses the visualization needs of monitoring data in various scenarios, helping users improve efficiency in anomaly analysis and pinpointing root causes.
