EIP Instance Diagnosis

If any issue occurs with the EIP instance, users can use the EIP instance diagnostic function for troubleshooting. This tool examines configurations and operational statuses, providing intelligent solutions for identified problems to make troubleshooting more straightforward. This document explains how to initiate diagnostics for EIP instances and review diagnostic information.
Restriction
Only EIP IPv4 is supported; IPv6 is not supported.
Operation steps
- Sign in to EIP.
- From the top menu bar, choose the region associated with the EIP.
- On the EIP page, find the EIP instance that requires diagnostics, then click on Diagnose - Instance Diagnosis in the Diagnostics column.
- On the instance health diagnostic panel, you can monitor the diagnostic progress, view the statistical results, and check specific diagnostic details. In the diagnostic details section, click Show All to review the complete set of diagnostic results for the EIP.
- Users can also click on historical diagnostic records at the top of the Instance Health Diagnosis panel to open the detailed page of this EIP in the Instance Diagnosis Console.

The diagnostic items and descriptions supported by EIP instances are as follows:
| Classification of diagnostic items | Diagnostic item | Description | Configuration diagnosis | Instance service status check | Verify whether the status of the EIP instance is functioning normally. |
| EIP allocation status check | Check if the EIP instance is bound to a cloud service instance. | |
| Capacity overrun diagnosis | EIP bandwidth utilization check | Confirm if the average bandwidth utilization for the EIP instance has reached 80% of the purchased bandwidth in the last two hours. |
| EIP bandwidth limiting packet loss check | Check if the EIP instance has experienced packet loss caused by exceeding the bandwidth limit within the last two hours. | |
| Security policy detection | DDoS protection check | Ensure the DDoS protection status of the EIP instance is functioning properly, covering DDoS and TBSP. |
| Cloud firewall check | Check if the cloud firewall associated with the EIP instance has been properly configured. | Risk control lock check | Check if the EIP instance has been locked due to risk control. |
| Cost diagnosis | Cost status check | Check if the EIP instance is overdue or set to expire within 7 days. |
