Billing rules
EIP is paid for in advance according to tiered pricing based on bandwidth specifications, offering cost savings over the pay-as-you-go model. Ensure the account balance is sufficient before purchasing an instance.
EIP Internet connections are classified into two types: Standard BGP and enhanced BGP.
Billing formula
Cost = Bandwidth specification × Unit price × Usage duration

Expiration reminders and handling
- Expiration notices: The system will issue notifications about impending expiration 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the EIP service expires.
- Post-expiration action: Service will be suspended immediately upon expiration, and the system will send a notification regarding the suspension due to outstanding debt. The IP address will be retained free of charge for 7 days. If no payment is made within this period, the IP will be released. The system will send a notification one day prior to and at the time of release.

Billing Rules
The EIP service charges in real-time by the minute based on the usage of the user, and employs tiered pricing with the following rules:
- Chargeable items: bandwidth, data traffic, and idle IP fees.
- Billing is calculated per minute, rounding up for durations less than one minute.
- Charges are applied hourly, with deductions and bills generated at the top of each hour (Beijing Time). The bill will be issued within one hour after the end of the current billing period. For instance, the bill for the 10:00-11:00 period will be generated before 12:00, based on the system's billing schedule.
- Before purchasing an instance, ensure your account has no outstanding debt and that the combined total of your account balance and available coupons is at least RMB 100.
Billing formula
- Bandwidth-based billing: Cost = Bandwidth specification × Unit price × Usage duration
- Traffic-based billing: Cost = Traffic unit-price × Traffic + IP idle unit-price × idle duration
Description:
- Pay-As-You-Go billing is based on outbound traffic from the EIP. Inbound traffic is excluded from billing. Outbound traffic refers to data flow from Baidu AI Cloud's data centers to the internet.
- Idle IP fees are charged only when cloud resources are unbound. EIP instances bound to resources are exempt from these charges.
- Enhanced BGP traffic-based billing ensures that each EIP is allocated a minimum of 1000GB of traffic, with prorated billing for partial months.

Insufficient balance reminders and debt handling
-
Insufficient balance reminder:
- The system checks if your account balance (including available coupons) is enough to cover the next three days' costs based on your bill amount from the past three days. If the balance is insufficient, a renewal reminder will be sent.
- The system checks if your account balance (including available coupons) is enough to cover the next day's costs based on your bill amount from the past day. If the balance is insufficient, a renewal reminder will be sent.
-
Debt handling:
- At the top of each hour (Beijing Time), the system checks if your account balance is sufficient to cover the current EIP charges (e.g., at 11:00 Beijing Time, it checks for the balance required to settle the 10:00-11:00 bill). Insufficient funds will result in debt, and the system will send a debt notification.
- In the event of debt, service suspension is immediate, and the system will send a notification about the suspension. The IP address will be retained for 7 days free of charge, after which, if no payment is made, it will be released. Notifications will be sent one day prior to and at the time of release.
