Usage restrictions
Purchase and quota restrictions
To ensure rational EIP resource usage, Baidu AI Cloud imposes limits on EIP instance purchases per user, subject to adjustment as per product operation policies. EIP quota is not adjustable by default; IP convergence can be achieved via NAT gateway or load balancer. Specific rules are as follows. If special circumstances require EIP quota adjustments, the account must be provided with corresponding cloud server resources, and the usage scenario must be reasonable. Users can submit a ticket to apply:
- Standard BGP: Individual users are allocated a quota of 50 EIPs per region (excluding Chengdu), while enterprise users receive 130 EIPs per region (excluding Chengdu). In the Chengdu region, both individual and enterprise users have a Standard BGP quota of 20.
- Enhanced BGP: Each user is allocated a quota of 20 EIPs per region.
Note:
- For individual users creating postpaid EIP instances, facial recognition certification is required, whereas enterprise users are exempt from this requirement.
- Purchasing an EIP instance in the Wuhan region requires enterprise certification.
- Additional charges may apply if a quota exceeding the standard amount is required.
- If post-adjustment activities frequently involve changes to IP addresses or violate applicable laws and regulations, Baidu AI Cloud reserves the right to revoke the quota.
Bandwidth purchase limits
Baidu AI Cloud imposes bandwidth peak limits on user-purchased EIP instances, subject to adjustment per product operation policies. If the services require guaranteed or higher bandwidth peaks, it is necessary use EIP with fixed-bandwidth billing. For larger bandwidth peaks, submit a ticket to apply. EIP bandwidth peak limits are shown in the table below:
| Internet connection type | Pay by traffic | Bandwidth-based billing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard BGP | The maximum bandwidth peak supported by a single EIP is 200Mbps, and the aggregate peak bandwidth of all pay-as-you-go EIPs within a single region cannot exceed 5Gbps | The maximum bandwidth peak supported by a single EIP is 500Mbps, and the aggregate peak bandwidth of all bandwidth-billed EIPs within a single region cannot exceed 10Gbps |
| Enhanced BGP | The maximum bandwidth peak supported by a single EIP is 1000Mbps, with no limits on the cumulative total of purchased bandwidth peaks across regions | The maximum bandwidth peak supported by a single EIP is 5000Mbps, with no limits on the cumulative total of purchased bandwidth peaks across regions |
Description:
- The bandwidth peak for pay-as-you-go EIPs is not a guaranteed service standard and may be throttled during periods of resource contention, whereas fixed-bandwidth EIPs come with guaranteed bandwidth peaks.
Ingress/egress bandwidth limiting rules
- Ingress bandwidth (Bandwidth flowing into EIP)
If the purchased EIP instance or EIPGROUP has a bandwidth peak of 10 Mbps or more, Baidu AI Cloud will allocate ingress bandwidth equal to the purchased peak.
If the purchased EIP instance or EIPGROUP has a bandwidth peak of less than 10 Mbps, Baidu AI Cloud will allocate an ingress bandwidth of 10 Mbps.
Description:
- For purchased bandwidths of 5 Mbps or less, the allocated ingress bandwidth of 10 Mbps is not a guaranteed standard and may be throttled during periods of resource contention.
- Egress bandwidth (bandwidth flowing from EIP)
Baidu AI Cloud allocates egress bandwidth equal to the purchased bandwidth peak.
Cross-border bandwidth limiting rules for Hong Kong and Singapore regions
Before September 17, 2022
- If the purchased EIP instances or EIPGROUP have bandwidth peaks of 2Mbps or higher, Baidu AI Cloud provides free cross-border bandwidth of 2Mbps.
- If the purchased EIP instance or EIPGROUP has a bandwidth peak of 1Mbps, Baidu AI Cloud allocates free cross-border bandwidth equal to the purchased bandwidth peak.
After September 17, 2022
- If the purchased EIP instances or EIPGROUP have bandwidth peaks above 10Mbps, Baidu AI Cloud provides free cross-border bandwidth of 2Mbps.
- If the purchased EIP instances or EIPGROUP have bandwidth peaks of 10Mbps or lower, Baidu AI Cloud allocates free cross-border bandwidth of 1Mbps.
Description:
- If the free cross-border bandwidth allocation does not satisfy the service demands, users can purchase cross-border acceleration packages to enhance cross-border bandwidth. For specific configurations, refer to the Cross-border Acceleration Package Operation Guide.
