Elastic public IP allows user-released instances to be moved to the bucket trash for management.

Reclaim instance

• Expired prepaid EIP instances and postpaid EIP instances in debt are not moved to the bucket trash. They are permanently deleted after being retained in the list for 7 days.
• EIPs released by users are moved to the bucket trash for management.
• EIP instances that users can actively release include those with expired prepay, postpay-by-traffic, and postpay-by-bandwidth billing.

Retain instance

• Instances moved to the bucket trash will be retained for up to 7 days.
• When an instance enters the bucket trash, all binding relationships are forcibly removed and need to be reconfigured after restoration.
• Instances in the bucket trash will be released permanently if billing isn't resumed before the expiration date.

Note:

• EIP instances in the bucket trash occupy user quotas. If they are no longer needed, consider permanently releasing them from the bucket trash.
• EIPs in the bucket trash are subject to a quota of 10 per region, retained in reverse chronological order by default. If the number of EIPs in the bucket trash reaches 10, new entries will displace the oldest ones.

Restore instance

1. Log in to the Baidu AI Cloud management console.
2. Go to Product Service - EIP - Bucket Trash to access the Bucket Trash page.
3. Select a Region.
4. View detailed information about instances in the bucket trash.
5. Click Resume Billing, complete the renewal payment, and the instance will be moved from the bucket trash to the instance management list.
