Release EIP

Updated at：2025-10-16
  • The release of a specified EIP cannot be recovered once it is released
  • If an EIP is bound to any instance, it must be unbound before release
  • For prepaid EIPs requiring early release, please use the prepaid EIP unsubscription API

Request parameters

Parameter name Types Whether required Parameter location Description
version String Yes URL parameter API version number, current value is 1.
eip String Yes URL parameter Released EIPs, including both IPv4 and IPv6 types.
releaseToRecycle Boolean No Query "true" indicates that the EIP will be moved to the bucket trash; "false" indicates that the EIP will be directly released
clientToken String Yes Query Idempotence token; for details, refer to [Idempotence](EIP/API Reference/General Description.md#Idempotence)

There are some restrictions on moving EIPs to the bucket trash. For details, refer to [Selective Release of EIP](EIP/API Reference/EIP Related Interfaces/Selective release of EIP.md).

Response Status Code

Respond with 200 after successful operation, and respond with error codes after failed operation, as shown in [Error Codes](EIP/API Reference/Error code.md).
