          Elastic IP

          Shared Bandwidth

Shared bandwidth is a bandwidth mode where more hosts share the total network bandwidth. Via the shared bandwidth, you can manage a shared bandwidth for traffic sharing to avoid peak network connection and other demands.

A shared bandwidth consists of a public network bandwidth and a group of public network IPs. Unlike the bandwidth acquisition mode that "one IP is configured with one bandwidth" of EIP, all public network IPs in the shared bandwidth can share this bandwidth, to improve the flexibility for use of bandwidth and reduce complexity of public network IP management.

After creating the shared bandwidth, you can flexibly move the elastic public IP into/out of the shared bandwidth according to the business scenario, and plan network resources reasonably.

Each one of you can create 5 groups of shared bandwidths at most, and if you need more quotas, you can submit Ticket for application.

          Purchase Shared Bandwidth

          Operation steps

          1. Log in "Management Console" select "Elastic IP" service.
          2. Select "Shared Bandwidth" in navigation bar, and click "Create Shared Bandwidth"
          3. Enter shared bandwidth configuration information.

            Name Description
Current region North China-Beijing, South China-Guangzhou, two districts in Hong Kong
Name Name of shared bandwidth instance
Public network bandwidth Upper limit of shared bandwidth (Mpbs)
            Number of public network IPs purchased Each shared bandwidth is configured with the corresponding proportion of IP, and by default, the number of IPs is 2;
you can increase the number of IP as needed, with maximum number of IPs <= public network bandwidth (M)/5M.
For example, for a shared bandwidth of 100M, 2 EIPs are assigned by default, and you can configure at most 20 EIPs for this shared bandwidth.
          4. Click "To settle accounts" confirm the order and pay for it.
          5. After successful purchase, view the list of shared bandwidth instances. Meanwhile, the list of Elastic IP instances also displays the shared public network IP created.

          Manage Shared Bandwidth

          Renew

Check the shared bandwidth instance to be renewed, and click "Renew" You can select the time length of renewal, confirm the order and pay for it, and then the renewal is successful.

          Bandwidth Upgrading

Check the shared bandwidth instance to be renewed, and click "Bandwidth Upgrading" Select the bandwidth configuration to be changed, click "Next" confirm the order, and pay for it to upgrade to a new bandwidth.

          IP Number Upgrading

Check the shared bandwidth instance with IP number to be upgraded, and click "IP Number Upgrading" When the number of IPs does not reach the upper limit, you can continue to increase the number of public network IPs, click "Next" confirm the order, and pay for it to upgrade to a new bandwidth.

          Note:

Public network IP number can contain at most n (n*5Mbps less than the total amount of shared bandwidth).

          Move into EIP

In the list of shared bandwidth instances, click "Move into EIP" in the operation, select the IP that needs to be moved in the pop-up window, click "Confirm Order" and pay to complete the move. After the EIP instance moves into the shared bandwidth, the original billing method of the EIP instance stops, and the moved shared bandwidth increases the IP lease fee.

          Note:

Only postpaid EIPs can be moved into shared bandwidth. Prepaid EIP instances do not support moving into shared bandwidth.

          Move out of EIP

On the shared bandwidth details page, check the IP that needs to be removed. If the selected IP is the EIP previously moved into, click "Move out of EIP" to complete the move, and the EIP will restore the original billing. If the selected IP was purchased with the shared bandwidth, the billing method needs to be specified when moving out. After the IP is moved out, the shared bandwidth will stop the rental fee of the IP.

          Note:

Prepaid shared bandwidth does not support moving out of EIP.

The EIP that was previously moved in and the EIP purchased together with the shared bandwidth cannot be moved out of the shared bandwidth at the same time.

Bind the Shared IP Instance to BCC/DCC/BLB Instance

          Background information

You can bind the shared EIP instance to any BCC/DCC/BLB instance to match the users service change needs flexibly. You can execute binding in the shared bandwidth detail page, and also execute this operation in BCC instance list. This section only introduces the operation method in shared bandwidth detail page.

          Operation steps

          1. Log in "Management Console" select "Elastic IP" service.
          2. Select "Shared Bandwidth" in navigation bar, click shared bandwidth name and enter the detail page.
          3. Select an instance, and click "Bind to BCC/DCC/BLB"
          4. Select the created BCC/DCC/BLB instance from the pop-up menu, and click "OK"
          5. The system executes the binding operation of sharing EIP instance of BCC/DCC/BLB instance, and after successful binding, display the type and ID of device bound in the shared bandwidth detail list.
